thank you so much for listening :pray:t4:

All sounds source on these tracks, I made with Sonic Pi (live coding).

I use only waveform (sine, tri, saw, square wave) to create rhythmic noise in minimalist approach (no effects, only reverb).

Inspired by algorhythmic beats, use only one synth and 808 drums sound.

Generative synth experiment with code, no samples.

For bandcamp Friday I’m dropping these
two strange little beat-tapes/jam-sets of instrumental and
experimental hiphop and triphop.

Made entirely on Elektron Digitakt, record on Zoom H6

Feel free to drop zero in the pay field to DL this, ( or any of my releases),
and if you have spare cash at the end of the day donate instead to a bail fund.

Be Safe. Much Love.

All kick drum sounds on this eclectic fast-techno track made with modular synth use Trummor 2 from Vult Modules, Blend with sampling and granular synthesis of acoustic instruments from Nusantara : kendang percussion, tarompet, and sinden voice. Energetic moods, around 200 bpm :

Field Notes:

How does it sound if you have a whole orchestra playing the same note? In the first track of this month’s episode, Gossamer, I wanted to see what that might sound like. The tension it caused was the inspiration for the whole first 1/3rd of this episode.

Studio Live Session - maschine mk3 and komplete kontrol mk2

This is a free collection of 11 tracks submitted in the first half of last year for the Naviar Records haiku challenge. Quite a few different moods, instruments, and techniques here.

For a life in flux, I can really recommend the MPC Live II. Powerful box, battery powered, perfect for ferry rides or leaving the house on a moment’s notice. Here’s an impromptu outdoor jam:

This was really fun. I did drum sequencing with Grids, through Maschine to my Circuit & Circuit Monostation and played the baseline and pads in by hand after the fact. Committing to audio early and tracking in one track at a time is teaching me a lot and is just fun.

The mix isn’t nearly as bad as my last track and I can pretty much hear everything this time.

I feel like I am starting over in a lot of ways and I’m having a great time learning about mixing and building my own recording and music making work flow.

Patch notes :
Marbles to Rings : inspired by bell sounds, sine wave on low frequency for sub bass, field recording processed to generative sampler (play in random positions).
