Inspired by the vampiric terror trilogy “Rojo”, from Carlos Sisí. This is an improvisation for prepared piano over 3 voices of a modular synthesizer. Each one of the 3 voices from the modular also makes an electronic improvisation and there are no written parts:
-I Piano & voice 1
-II Piano & voice 2
-III Piano & voice 3
-IV Piano & voices 1, 2 and 3

Was learning the mimeophon today and made this.

Chord stab is Rings(easter egg mode) > Ripples > Clouds
Drone/pad is Telharmonic > Quad VCA > Qpas
Lead/Arp is Dixie II+ > uvca (envelope from Maths) > Mimeophon
Sequencing Marbles (latched) with slow lfo modulation of the spread from PNW which is clocked from t3 of Marbles and also strumming Rings.
Big Sky mixed in through pedal /io 1u

So I had to take about a year away from writing and playing music to deal with job and life things, but during the pandemic I’ve finally found some time to jump back in. I wanted to share the first thing I’ve recorded since, I think, April 2019. It’s definitely a change from the few tracks that I had recorded previously, which were improvisational/ambient.

:point_up: wow, those are some tasty sounds! the thick kick with fluttery moist sounds underneath massage the ear drums perfectly, and then the modulating tones are similarly satisfying but in a more overarching way

By the way, the last piece is dedicated to Florian Schneider. It’s the fourth lengthy lamentation I’ve done in the last year or so. My own mortality was in question back in January when I was hospitalized with acute pneumonia. I don’t know how that affected me once I was able to resume making music, perhaps only a daily, keener appreciation of this mortal coil.

Histamine Tapes (noise/ambient label out of Vermont) made a layered thing from multiple artists, many in Vermont, most/all in New England. Result is like a field recording of quarantimes.

Wide array of sound sources: modular, field recordings, saxophones, guitars, raw noise, euphoniums, I can’t tell what all is in there but there’s a bunch of it.

A couple of years ago, I made an EP using the 0-Coast as the only sound source and since I got the 0-Ctrl I have been thinking of making another one (or maybe one with only the 0-Coast and the Lyra-8). Anyways, here’s a new track I am working on with the 0-Coast being sequenced by the 0-Ctrl and running some layers through the QPAS and Morphagene.
