The Live and Indirect session recorded for the wonderful Neon Hospice streaming radio station / temporary autonomous zone / emotional support audio institution has now been archived for all eternity, or at least until such time as Mixcloud ceases to exist:

This session mostly involved running Awake / Passersby from of a freshly-constructed Norns Shield, hooking it up to a number of modules via MIDI and then CV/gate and letting things circulate and brew through either too many or not enough effects. Contains spring reverb percussion. May cause drowsiness.

There’s some great shows and livestreams on weekly at The Neon Hospice from all manner of regulars and others, including Ekoplekz / Nick Edwards, IX Tab, Farmer Glitch, Extractor Fan and more. See you all in the lounge.

Ambient drone generative live-streaming while working :speak_no_evil:

New digital release out today on Ingrown Records! I always have to listen to this twice. Love the artist’s described process for this. You can read their explanation in the description.

I wanted to get in one last big jam before the summer ends and my work ramps up. At the centre of the setup is the Keystep Pro, which conveniently sent pitch CV to Clouds in order to play it like another voice (I normally only use Clouds for real-time effects). The Subharmonicon continues to inspire and sound great, and somehow still doesn’t feel limiting. And that Zen Delay is just performance magic; I had to stop myself from noodling with it for hours in order to get a take. Really happy with where this one ended up.

Hey folks!

Norns running Fugu is the main sequencer on this, playing my Jupiter 8. I then overdubbed some Norns MLR looping and TAKT with some perc and more looping.

Not that new but I don’t think I posted here yet; an Isn’tses livestream from earlier in the year. Heavy on the space-noise bleeping this one.

We’ve been missing real gigs but enjoying performing with all the stuff (eurorack, rackmount junk, amps) that we can’t face carting across town IRL.

Happy how the visuals turned out for this too, and had lots of fun playing 555 oscillator thru vocal FX to create kind of grindcore robo-scat vocals

Serge Sessions part 2

This sessions reminded me of one of my favourite albums by Jan Hammer, The First Seven Days.

TKB: Sequences
2x PCO
TWS part 3 controlled by the ENV Detector coming from the LYRA8. TWS is also responsable for the metalic audio parts.
VCFQ
DUSG doing a lot work here. Used as the master clock from one side and used to create ratcheting with the TKB UP/DOWN input from certain gates comming from the TKB going into the CV IN of the other USG.

Finally toping with one of my favourite FX the EMPRESS Echosystem

Here’s a fresh print straight from norns tape.

This set up makes a great Lofi Hip Hop machine.

I really like this, thank you for sharing !

But… I’m not sure that listening to anything with headphones at high volume is a good thing !

My latest track, “Flash & Me”. A sprawling breakbeat blinger about the pompous voice of passive indifference.

I’m interested in trying to tell stories, and I have a love of movie dialogue, so I tried to convey a story through the choice and arrangement of samples.

I made this completely in the box with my Maschine setup. I kind of wanted to work the samples on it more and I think some of the frequencies are too harsh around /after the breakdown but I wanted to be finished this one so that I could start something new.

Each track I make I learn something new. What did I learn on this one? I dunno, stuff for sure, but that would be off topic.
