Loving the tone on Rippl…

Experiment to created electronic or synthesizer sounds in minimalist approach with no input mixing board (regular mixing console into an instrument) : generate micro beats / glitch noise sound by manipulating feedback loops of audio signal, create foundation, build layer by layers in improvisation with hardware looper (use features of reverse, slowed down) and process to multi effect pedal for only reverb.

Sorry just seen this reply today… The voice is narrated by a friend of mine who I got to record the words - he is Canadian / British (hence his unique voice!). The actual text is taken from a book called The Human Plant: How we created the Anthropocene published by Penguin books. I got permission to use the text from the authours of the book and this text forms the basis of my recent album. I edited the text somewhat. I love this section from the book, its dark but explains a lot about the current state of the world.

A track featuring layers of piano in the Gauss looper, with some other iOS bits happening.

Hybrid setup experiment : VCV Rack as generative sequencer via usb to midi cable to trigger sounds on Volca FM synthesizer as only sound source, and then process to Clouds granular audio processor with internal reverb in eurorack modular minimal setup

This is totally beautiful…audio and visuals.

I just made this video as a preview for the forthcoming DoS 06h00 GMT live and indirect show at the Neon Hospice on New Year’s Day… and while it uses the wonderful new ORTF from @felart , I can’t actually remember which script the tape being played was recorded with… more (and entirely different) manipulations to come early on 1/1/21.

I used Brian Eno’s iconic six-seconds Windows 95 startup sound to randomly generate one hour of ambient music. Made me think of Keith Fullerton Whitman’s notes from his Greatest Hits album: “revealing hidden layers of content, context, and temporal/spectral production details… like shining a flashlight into the dark corners of each selection, exposing the hidden ghosts lurking within”.

Recorded with Make Noise Morphagene (slowly modulated to slightly change its parameters on a scale of minutes and tens of minutes) and Digitech Supernatural stereo reverb pedal.

Created and recorded mostly in 1994 (Peter Vincent 1996) using a Roland Space Echo RE-150, SH101, Juno 60, modified Powertran Transcendent 2000 onto cassette tape using a Sharp WQ-T360E Stereo Radio Cassette Recorder with “X-BASS”.

It was then later put through my brothers PC noise reduction plugin, eq and a bit of reverb I think, then later recorded for a mate onto MiniDisc, then recorded to my own DAT.

The original cassette tape was lost or thrown away, many were, although not by me.

Many of these early tracks were recorded onto a few rotated cassette tapes. They were filled up, turned back over to Side A and recorded over again with newer stuff. I have no idea how much music I lost.

These 4 tracks have been mastered and treated to hopefully get them to a more enjoyable and listenable state.
