got back from a road trip(up to Oregon and back), beforehand prepared this EP for the car, somethings i thought would sound good there(max patches involving multi-layered stuttering and phase-modulations spread out in stereo)…was meant for a sunny drive, but did just as beautifully in the rain(actually sounds really beautiful accompanied by rain falling on a windshield ):
and this one, too… turned out to be my favorite of the two EPs for the car trip… got this stutter-engine i made in mc.gen~, with fast-stutter intervalled layering gives this satisfying rip/tear sound, spread in stereo scratches my brainz nicely

DIY cassette tape loops processed to walkman mod to granular audio processor, blend with macro oscillator organ generative sounds in VCV Rack.
I’m super happy at how the drums turned out in this piece, thanks to the Bastl THYME. A really simple sample sequence from Nerdseq sounds intricate and intense because of the delay pattern following the main clock. yay!
i really dig the softcut example ‘6-routing’ so tried to make it in pure supercollider. the result is noisier (aliasing and hardcuts) but still found the process very interesting.

Also put up this old short noise EP I did way back in the early, early days (2012 - 2013)
I’m working on a bunch of new stuff but nothing really concrete just yet. Just feels good to be making music again.
