Step patch 4 lines of white whale and a touch of teletype
I wrangled some cool sounds out of a Phenol, and added a little Analog RYTM and A4 to it:
This one is lovely. The Morphagene really shines on this.
supercollider + renoise + sounds from a basic modular synth
Philémon comes with a video :
Really outstanding work. Reminds me of the same warm, nostalgic feeling I get from the Fez soundtrack. Gorgeous!
heres a new i did today
this is great! I appreciate that in this short, almost Instagram friendly piece, you have a beginning and an end. minor point maybe but important to me for some reason. i try to do this myself with limited success. . .
Thanks @David_Rothbaum! That is very humbling feedback. I did go through a shit ton of 12 minute versions, to be fair.
I just received a Teletype and it's exactly how I have wanted to work with a modular. It is an incredible compositional tool, the way it engages so many mental and emotional processes. Ugh. Love it.
Well, I find it to be a rather significant challenge with the modular as it is so easy to lose yourself in it. Doing something succinct on the modular is in my opinion, a very desirable thing. And yeah, the teletype is brilliant.
Cross posting from Cassette Releases thread. My new album is out today, hope you enjoy it!
Recently I made a video about using chance and randomness when making music, centred around Qu-Bit Electronix's new Chance module -- really digging what it's brought to my setup so far!
A little cross post of my own-- you can get this on cassette, or just the digital version!
re:mix has become a bigger part of my live set these days (big ups to @elquinto). I've done some light hacking to its Max internals so that I can change re:mix presets when changing scenes in Ableton. Maybe worth considering for the main branch?
Here's a track I performed this last weekend: https://vimeo.com/225021950
Full audio from the set is up here: https://soundcloud.com/o8o8o8/live-at-fette-music-hall-7817
I made myself a little "multiple exposure" type vid using an open source video mixing app called GLMixer.
This tune started out as a Disquiet Junto contribution a couple of years ago. It's going to be on my 5th album, out next week.
