Have managed to fit in a sample from everyone! Never did that before, could be horrific, could be OK! Just got to mix it and I’m done. Yippee.

Uni project due in tonight though, so new deadline is appreciated. Must rest. :sleeping:

I managed to finish mine and send it via Google Drive! Wohooo!

I used all the samples up to 24 seconds long, created a VLC playlist, played it in loop thru my modular preamp then in the rings resonator, in pinged LPG’s (which reduced them into little particles), clouds, echophon, erbeverb, and used them also to gate the signals. The jam was played in real time.
Hope it does not suck too much. I’m not used to use samples :slight_smile:

That’s mine in @myecholalia. (let me know you get it OK).

Reverted back to my attempt at drum n bass (something I’ve never written before) and have a sample from everyone (something I’ve never achieved before). Most obvious are samples used from @pauk, @Angela, @Simeon and @rdfm which form the main body of the track. The rest of the samples are repurposed as drum hits or random percussive stuff and bleeps.

I am more pleased with the mix than on any of my previous attempts (although mixing is still a mystery to me!). I think I have left some headroom for you to work with Simeon.

all the tracks i’ve received (19 in total) are absolutely amazing.

next steps

  1. later today, i’ll send off the files to @Simeon for mastering
  2. i’ll send mp3 versions of the unmastered songs to @Angela for cover art inspiration
  3. we need to decide if this lcrp shall be released on the new netlabel or via bandcamp. paging @jasonw22 to check if netlabel is even technically possible at this stage
  4. if enough people are interested, i will organize a physical cd for purchase at minimal cost via kunaki. just comment below if you’d want a copy so that i can gauge interest. if such a physical release somehow conflicts with the netlabel idea, please let me know and i’ll skip this.
  5. tentative release date: 26th march
