Lines Community Stream v1 summary
First and foremost, another big thank you to all who watched and participated. What a fun time this was.
It was, as expected, a big undertaking. But I feel(please correct me if you feel different) that this went as smooth as it could with the tools we used. Twitch is by no means a perfect platform for this, since the /host feature is kind of a hit/miss when it comes to the whole “refresh to see hosted stream” issue but throwing up a message to tell viewers to refresh is not the biggest hassle.
I feel inclined to look into @mzero hosting solution, but my mind is not ready for that knowledge yet(I might pick your mind sometime soon @mzero). I feel really bad for the performers who had technical issues along the way, but it is really hard to completely avoid(and thankfully we got performances without technical issues uploaded to the YouTube summary).
Now, what to do as far as the future goes? I am very open for input here. What should we do different?
My thoughts:
- We’ll do a stream once a month.
- A smaller lineup, like the Saturday lineup.
- Maybe center the stream around a theme, disquiet junto style?
I really want to underline that the account is open for anyone to use for events/streams.
My head is full of inspiration and not really good at putting thoughts into words these days. But hopefully this made some sense?
Stay safe.
