Here’s a poster, if you’d like to share on social media and stuff

Was made with alcohol-based markers, permanent ink pens, inkjet printer and some tape to rip up the paper and add some texture. Special thanks to my coworker Taufique for blending the top and bottom together with photoshop so there wasn’t an obvious line.

Thanks for setting all of this up and the great poster! Looking forward to this. Just posted on Instagram, looks like the hashtag #linescommunitystream has already been started. It would be cool to try to get everyone who posts about this on Instagram tag their post with that hashtag, might help to generate some more interest and at the very least I’d love to follow y’all and see what everyone is up to!

Nothing nearly as artistically wonderful as @jlmitch5’s poster, but I made a few simple images with the set times for both days, in both UTC and EST if anyone wants to use them to share their set times.

Edit: re-uploaded images to fix a small time slot mistake, and improve character spacing

i promoted this on the monome mailing list this week. (though i’m wondering if people read email these days?)

looking forward to it!

I read it - plenty of interesting new scripts to check out. So busy working on my own stuff don’t get to look what other people make :frowning: I do know if I send my children email for things (like services I’ve signed up for that they can use) that they need hassling to even check email accounts…

Had a play with the overlay, found it a little confusing to setup. What is the best way to add the text? And should it be a particular size?
Got the animation working fine, looks good

Double click the text later in the overlay source to change text. Font should be good as is (Helvetica Neue Light, can’t remember the size right now).

How do you install the overlay correctly? I think I may have installed it incorrectly, I just added the overlay video manually. I don’t have a GFX folder, or a text layer.

There is a tutorial in the top post

Sorry, I did follow that  Probably just bring an idiot. I downloaded the zip file. Do I just create the GFX folder myself, then create a text source manually? I feel I’m missing something?

is the overlay different from last weeks test? (ie can I just be lazy and reuse the one I already have  )

Not really. Just simplified it to (hopefully) make it easier to change the text and color, and not having to render out 30+ individual overlays.

@Comoving_Observer did you import the .json file under Scene Collection / Import?
Did a test here, and that imports all the overlay stuff, then you need to add A/V-sources.

Edit: My bad, forgot the stuff about the .json file in the guide. Adding that now. Sorry!

Haha, no problem. I knew there must be another step. Great, I’ll test it just now. Thanks for all your effort with this, should be a great event!
