Sound quality on OBS is as good as you set it up - but keep in mind that the maximum bitrate that is streamed to the audience may depend on the specifications of what the end host is (ie Twitch streams are a maximum of 160kbps no matter what your source quality is)

It is an absolute breeze if you ask me. But your network upload speed is the bottleneck as far as quality goes. But with some testing and tweaking you normally get great results. Keeping the FPS down to 24 is normally a great starting point(no need for 60fps when streaming anything apart from gaming).

I am going to be doing my first music related live stream this afternoon/evening at 3:00 PM EST // 9:00 PM CEST. I will be making some live drone and ambient music (with a hint of houseplant) for your enjoyment, accompanied by live visuals as well.

This stream forms part of a series that a South African collective called Wêreld hosted through the month of May to supplement the artists’ income during lockdown as well as to raise funds for charities supporting people in need of it. This is the last one for the month but if you are curious about the other artists you can go and check them out as a lot of these streams were recorded on IGTV and FB.

Here is the link to mine in taking place a few hours:

For Drone Day 2020, Drift of Signifieds will be live for the launch of two albums out now on Bandcamp.

I’ll be playing a guest set in NY Modular Society’s live stream tonight.
➣ Show starts at 8:30pm EDT / 5:30pm PDT

Doing a live stream from my phone tonight/today @ 7.45 UTC(sunset). It will be mainly OP-Z with a few guests. It is slightly inspired by @tehn performance for the most recent edition of open space online. So it will be a performance/short hike to the beach. Might be a laggy experience. But a fun thing to try out.

Edit: It worked! Not 100% satisfied with the result, but as a proof of concept it was cool

Perhaps not very electronic, but we’re going to kick off a stream any minute now with Niek Hilkmann presenting a new single, playing some music and some discussion on traditional postcards… and probably mostly in Dutch, but still thought I’d share.

use/download ASIO4all for it to be captured.
What i had to is open ableton or Fl studio and switch it over to ASIO before using OBS.
Hope this helps!

Hello everyone. I am currently running a weekly broadcast I’m calling a micro festival. I see @walker already posted about it. I am looking for acts so if anyone is interested in taking part then please feel free to message me for info. It mainly focuses on live experimental performance and electronic music and media. Here is a playlist of the shows so far. Cheers.

Currently streaming Felix Kubin + others (on FB, sorry…) and it’s all rather lovely - especially some of Felix’s graphic scores.

I am performing live in about two hours with my band, Modality, for the Network Music Festival 2020. We have a brief ten minute set of new material.

I’m operating visuals using Lumen and then playing Patterning on two iPads through a xone db4 mixer. Looking forward to this!

Streaming audio via Jamkazam, video via Zoom to our violin player in Virginia, who is sending the show out via OBS. Still getting that pre-show nervousness that I crave/hate!
