London, any suggestions?

How did you get this gig? What’s their remit? Like what type of music do they want?

Been playing in this trio for a few years, Viv & Alan are well established on the scene.

Alex Ward organises the Boat-ting evenings, it’s very much a free impovised music gig. Best reach out to Alex.

Via Lines, or elsewhere?

He’s a free improv guitarist, on Facebook & insta, regulary plays at places like otto & 100 years gallery, maybe try via the Boat-ting website.

nice one thank you mate

Hey there,
I’m headed to London in June (19-26) and staying in the Shoreditch area. if anyone has any new recommendations or knows of anything happening art/music wise that I shouldn’t miss, please let me know. Sadly there are no more tickets to the Dead C / Roy Montgomery shows at Cafe Oto.

Your visit is in between quite a few gallery show changeovers, but I would check out Victoria Miro, very much a stone’s throw from Shoredtich, and there is a nice Chris Ofili show during your stay, and her space is :ok_hand:

And Kate MacGarry’s space is bang in the center of Shoreditch

Music venues - unfortunately - has shifted quite a bit right past Dalston and Hackney Wick.

But Brilliant Corners is a classy listening bar / Sushi restaurant with impeccable sound https://brilliantcornerslondon.co.uk/

Also connected to BC is Giant Steps (their previous venue was absolutely amazing on the canal, firm favourite of Floating Points and Four Tet) They now throw occasional parties at The Baths in Hackney Wick - there might be something on when you’re around

And Spiritland in King’s Cross is pretty chill, again impeccable sound:

Hope you have a great time Marcus, I feel a bit homesick writing all this :raised_hands:

It really was something. Glad I finally got to see a full live show by him.
