20210307_204511_20210307210533903

Deadline for song submission has been set for 11th April.

Please submit your completed track through DM and I will put these together as a (free) BANDCAMP release. Once the songs are in perhaps people would be kind enough to share project files in the thread, discuss how this went for you? Please let me know the name you wish me to use for you in the track listings also.

Have fun.

is this just for people with polyend trackers or for anyone that uses any tracker? Would love to be in on it if it’s the latter.

I’m interested as well!

I have no issue with other trackers. The more the merrier! Would be interesting to see how different trackers take on the same challenge. Everyone OK with that?

Shall I count you in @rbxbx

Sounds good to me! Especially since we have .mod and .it as possible sharing formats, though not as comprehensive.

Sounds like fun. I am also interested.

Added several to the team  apparently I cannot @ more than 10 so have omitted those for now.

I will leave this thread open until Sunday to catch anyone else then we can collectively decide on a deadline for sample submission. I am guessing now we have a few people on board 2 samples each would be adequate? Given the limited memory available should we have a max length for samples? Or leave it up to the individual to chop them/reduce quality?

I like the idea of working within the same constraints personally, especially since it’ll be different across different tech so ie: same length, sample rate, etc.

2 samples each seems like plenty! I just hope we get a kickdrum

I do hope someone throws in a couple of ST-XX (original Amiga Soundtracker sample disk series) samples

I was actually thinking on same lines (no pun intended) as tehn - thinking whether to make a last minute change from the Polyend to Fast Tracker 2 if I get it running under Dosbox. Then again, this would be a good chance to familiarize myself yet more with the Polyend so…

I used to be obsessed with an OG sample from the Soundtracker ST series (on disk 02 i think…) called THEEGG - i was convinced this was a futuristic sci fi word until someone pointed out it was actually just THE EGG which is a lot more prosaic.

ST-03 was the best disk of course, don’t @ me…

interested party here!

I wonder if there are any M8 Tracker folks interested. @kasselvania?

You also might want to update the first post to make it clear this is tracker-agnostic.

This is cool, I would like to participate!

Would also like to join, sounds like a good time  How strict are we talking? Is a NerdSeq + Assimil8or an acceptable ‘package’ or are we only using stand-alone trackers?
