I wound up picking up Kaivo. I’m honestly not sure why I didn’t earlier, since Aalto has been one of my favorite software synths.

Took the plunge earlier this week on completing my Madrona collection with Kaivo + Aalto. (I’ve had Virta for a while.) I’m blown away by how rewarding it is to dig into the three manuals and instruments side by side. For me learning all of them magnifies all the instrument design decisions that make each of them unique and inspiring canvases. Completing my Madrona collection has been catnip for my musical imagination.
