Disquiet Junto Project 0253: Doorbell Rehab/Record some welcome music.

Not really “welcome” music, cause a bit creepy, but listening to other excellent shares to this project inspired me to reload this old piece I never quite finished.
Mostly based on “clock” bells it was a demo for a "Time” themed collection.

I recorded some bells, wind chimes, analogue alarm clocks and on top of that my old German upright piano, open lid, and picked with my finger nails.

This is a full-acoustic recording. No FX, no treatments.
No midi, no processing, just one delay, 2 convolution reverbs and the sound of the rooms.

Disquiet Junto Project 0253: Doorbell Rehab
Record some welcome music.

Tintinabulum ab inferno
Alternate title: Annulum pro mortuis

Inspired by Holloween. Bell sound created with Modcan FMDVO.

Two tracks. One is bell sound through a Ray Wilson delay, bit or reverb, and then through a bit of Flashback delay.

Track 2 is similar sound but through a Befaco Crush delay with delay time controlled by a Wogglebug.

Initially, I thought I wouldn’t participate this time around, but then I started playing with a three-knock riff. (My doorbell hasn’t functioned for quite some time, which suggested knocking to me). The three knocks came from a custom Kaivo patch treated with some ReaEQ, while the accompaniment came from Microtonic passing through a custom Permut8 patch and ValhallaRoom. Finally, I added some compression in Audacity.

Because I don’t have a doorbell at my house and had to go to a funeral
this weekend, I decided to use church bells instead. Maybe they are just
the doorbells to heaven.
