It’s not a demo, it’s music, and while nothing is perfectly clear, Cuckoo seems to be using the Mimeophon mainly as a feedback instrument.

I got eyes an ears on someone’s early release mimeophone on Friday. This thing is going to be so much cooler than I thought. It sounds absolutely great, has cv over EVERYTHING and responds so smoothly. Not a weird glitch or artifact to be heard, it’s so organic sounding. Yes, it’s a delay, but i could see it as a voice unto itself.

Maybe not the best Mimeophon demo, but it’s lovely. Dang I wish that Flute was going into it.

Well, that was a lovely 17 minutes. Thanks @walker and Make Noise for putting that on. Really impressive sounds in all the patch examples. The zone-shifting in particular feels really unique. Excited to get one and work it out, also great to hear they’re still on track to ship this month.

Great interview / conversation, @walker and @ebremot. More of these types of in-depth video features are certainly welcome.

(Fingers crossed for an in-depth feature with Tony and Matt about the development of the CTRL-SEL family of modules / Tempi / Select Bus communication–as well as something with Bob about the discontinued Mysteron and the two Renés–because we [read: I] need more content than just the Module Developers panel from last year.)

ooh i couldn’t let go of the dld ever, i love its precision. but def seems there is much more personality and fun in the mimeophon. also thought the karplus-strong in that video was the nicest i’ve ever heard?!
