I recommend the Intellijel Mixup, has mutes, and with the VCA on the qpas you can use the second pair of stereo in’s on the mixup quite effectively. Though the hyrlo looks nice and I have an OOTS, they have a high build quality.

Make Noise’s XOH is missing from your stereo mixer list.

Ha! Doh! Just fixed that.

i’ve owned a QPAS for about 5 days now, and what i’ve come to really enjoy about it is how it excels at sculpting feedback patches. here’s an example with QPAS + spring reverb (alongside a cold mac / three sisters feedback patch):

this patch was def inspired by the tilde fjaerlett. specifics are lost on me, as i recorded this a few days ago and did a few variations of this patch, but here’s the starting point:

  • spring out -> optomix (version 1) ch 1
  • optomix ch2 (normalled from ch 1) out -> QPAS left input
  • QPAS bp left output -> spring in

from here, i got interesting results self-patching other QPAS outputs into the radiate and !!¡¡ inputs, as well as adding in a very slowly clocked Wogglebug to help nudge the patch into different places.

Gah, thanks for reminding me that I still want to get a spring reverb at some point.

Given my limited understanding of filter circuits. Beyond maybe LPGˋs are there recomendations to get this kind of ringing after more or less any filter? I am thinking of cinnamon or twin peak right now. The ringing after decay is pretty much sth want out of filter

Did this ever come out? I can’t find it anywhere online.

I don’t think so. If anything, videos featuring that combo have probably made it on to his Patreon page.

Edit: this is the closest thing to a full video that I could find:

I just got some ideas around QPAS > Soundstage for the first time and :flushed: crap, where’d my wallet go

Oh interesting! My SoundStage is most always patched, but that sounds like a great idea. The manual for SoundStage definitely suggests using it as something to feed into a stereo filter, but could be an fun way to mix it down too!

just got a qpas recently, this is my first try, the only sound source is one chord droning from chord organ. quite impressed with how it can give dynamic movements and textures.
more patch notes on video description.

A bit of a random holiday question - does anyone know off-hand what the CV input range is for the QPAS CV inputs? The Morphagene manual is very detailed on this, but the QPAS manual has remarkably omitted all technical CV information. I’ve emailed Make Noise, but don’t expect they’ll get back to me any time in the next couple of days, due to NYE and all. Cheers
