This is tremendous. I feel like I can finally access the intricate workings of Just Friends without trawling through endless posts like a detective. I have a mind to spend the next few months using only JF and my new Teletype and learning those two (individually and paired) as thoroughly as possible.
This is unreal, whole new life breathed into one of my favorite modules ever! Thank you so much for all the hard work!
Everyday I see a new comment on this Technical Map thread I nearly foam at the mouth in excitement that W/ will have been added. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved the dive into the esoteric and nebulous nature of the user manuals that have truly invited me to become familiar with all of my WhimsicalRaps modules in ways that were both frustrating and illuminating. The puzzles they allow us to fall into and occasionally solve are certainly a large part of their appeal.
Ok wow. This turns my most used module into a whole new universe. Will get expensive tho, I may need another now.
The real question is how many JF do you want ?

It demonstrates how RAMP and CURVE affect waveshape. nb: some of the CURVE transitions aren’t 100% accurate, but they are close enough to give you a good idea!

For an alternate take on COLD MAC, we strongly recommend Martin Doudoroff’s Patching Cold Mac guide, along with a great YouTube tutorial. A number of ideas in this Map borrow from Martin’s work!

One of the first synthesis texts I ever read was Rich Gold’s Intro to the Serge Modular Music System. The Mannequins modules could certainly be used for a similar introduction to modular synthesis that goes above and beyond the basics!

I really appreciate all the work that has been done creating this technical maps! Only small thing I noticed few days ago is that in cold mac description of OR there is a little bug in description because it describes OR as performing logic minimum and AND as performing maximum while the reverse is true I created PR few days ago https://github.com/whimsicalraps/Mannequins-Technical-Maps/pull/1 but I guess everyone is rather busy so none had time yet to check it out.
