This is my first eurorack filter and only my 9th or so module, but wow, what a thing of beauty. How does it have so much variety but sound so good? It’s like 70% sweet spot. I think I’m ruined for life. Sorry, VCFQ, QPAS, and Shelves…

There is currently a 3-module challenge going on over on DivKid’s discord, and this week it is filters only. Copying what I posted there (using Sisters and QPAS):

FWIW I went through the exercise this morning of building up a Sisters/QPAS patch step by step, documenting the additional feedback paths on each additional recording. Track thumbnails also document the state of the patch. Maybe someone will appreciate it. It was a good exercise for me to understand (and I use that term liberally) what is happening in these feedback paths.

Curious what matrix mixer you are using. I’m pondering either the NLC Clump or Doepfer A-138m…

I’m using the Doepfer A-138M. I especially like the option to toggle each row between attenuation and attenuversion. Although with the latter, it can be difficult to find complete silence around 12 o’clock.

We’re having manufacturing issues, but things are moving along, slowly. If I had a firm date I would tell you, but I simply do not. I wish we could be selling these modules too!

Thank you for the update! I lucked out and got a used one off Reverb for about the same price as new but I had to replace the fuses which caused some confusion with the transaction. Worth the wait to get a new one I reckon.

I love the sound of multiple 3sisters outputs through LPG’s while oscillating, this one has a little tanh3 to shape the slightly fm’d waveform on the output.

I think my SPAN is a little wonky - I can’t get the filters in unison or to spread evenly apart. Is there a calibration control/procedure for that? The Technical Map has a procedure for V/Oct calibration, but I don’t see one for SPAN.

If I remember correctly, the three are never all on the same exact frequency and will usually have at least a little beating. how far off are they from unison? & what kind of weirdness are you experiencing with a sweep of the span control?

It seems like LOW and HIGH are at least about a semitone off from each other when I try to tune one or the other to 1 octave from CENTRE.
