It’s off topic and has nothing to do with WR but I’m nervous because I recently had a package get delivered to the wrong address, didn’t find out until a week after it was delivered because I didn’t have any type of shipping notification, and I was ultimately unable to retrieve the package.

I’m really starting to like this! More and more my only problem is that I accidentally ended up with two. Now I need to figure out how to get a slashes…

Thanks, guess I’ll need a soldering iron as well…

Oh no, I feel you, had a few situations like that myself. Good luck with it then, hope you get a notification soon. For what it’s worth I’m in the U.K. and ordered on the release date so i’ll reply here as soon I get notification so that you know what’s going on for others more specifically.

Can anyone see what I’m doing wrong here?

Simple test sequence into IN. press play. press record. press down to start a loop. press up to end a loop and recording disengages. remove input from IN. and…nothing. no recording. except a clunk at the loop end.

I’ve had something like that happen a few times – it looked like it was recording but just didn’t. Rebooting fixed it.

Really excited by the possibilities of this one! Some pretty awesome demonstrations so far.

I’ll be hopping on the bandwagon pretty soon

Oh my, it wasn’t my intention to argue! Agreed there are horses for courses and we’re all winners when creators create.

Now that I know what I’m doing with W/, the only time it’s locking up on me is when trying to change tapes after using it for awhile. Any ideas?

also ordered w// and slashes. wondering if a lot more people ordered bundles than they anticipated. it’d be one thing if all these people were just ordering one module, but maybe a sizable percentage of people bought bundles of 2 and 3. and not that slashes is an intensive build, but it would take additional time on top of the module production.

i’m confident WR are working diligently on getting them out the door. i’m still waiting patiently with no worries, although my extra free time from being on spring break makes me a little antsier than usual.

Absolutely love mine (two). Anybody on the fence, go for it! Each w/ sounds and feels like a magical reel to reel at 2hp. (Can you imagine the coming teletype integration?!) Tremendous design achievement, truly.

I had three long sessions so far, and the gestures are already becoming natural. SO playable. Such a great concept.

This is the first week in months Aleph and ct5 sat and got so dusty haha.

Can you daisy chain the ii connection if you have a cable with multiple headers, or is some sort of bus board required? The guys at Control Voltage gave me a cable with 4 headers when I purchased my Teletype, but I’m not sure if it’s safe to hook the W/ and JF to my TT on the same cable.

If you plug a stereo source into the w/ does it combine the audio channels or are you just hearing one channel (l or r)? I have a lot of Ciat Lonbarde gear I’d like to plug into the w/ but part of the charm is the stereo effect…how does w/ handle this?

im pretty sure you have to do that build yourself, thats why i didnt order two. i dont know anything about using a soldering iron nor would i be confident that I wouldnt just mess it up somehow

I guess w/ doesn’t come with an i2c cable? I want w/ on the edge of my case so might need a longer cable than the one that I got from monome. Anyone in the U.K. know where I’d get that? I had a little google around and looked like there might be different cable headers too, any tips on what to get? Looking forward to teletype integration.

Day three w/ w/ and it’s getting a familiar feeling. It reminds me of playing the OP-1 tape deck a lot.

Still don’t feel like I’m in complete control of the loop and cue points, but it blows my mind to have so much power in 2HP.

Sorry to ask such a silly question, but was the cable plugged in properly? I sometimes need to give it an extra push.

Edit: never mind, i see it was plugged in properly. Probably a bug. Reboot.

I made my own. Buy one of these

and pull it apart ( its easy ) into blocks of 3. Put some heatshrink over the ends, waft a lighter under it, and there you go.

This is happening to me a lot as well … can’t seem to get out of it without rebooting … glad it’s not just me!

Great, thanks, I was hoping it’d be something that simple.
