The orange LED is a representation of the overwrite/overdub ratio. so while in LIVE mode it matches your THAT input. At 0v the light goes out and all material is retained on subsequent records. While at -5 and 5 the LED is full orange and material is overwritten on subsequent passes. So orange means you are overwriting to a degree represented by the intensity of the LED and the LED being off means you are 100% overdub (provided record is engaged).

edit: i should say this is my understanding, but it seems to correlate exactly to the value patched to THAT while in Live mode.

Same. It’s weird that I know someone in Aus that ordered direct same day as me that’s already received the unit, and ive not got shipping confirmation yet. They must be slammed, but I did think they were all being sent by this Wednesday.

all it takes is a few moments to stay in touch with your supporters. ive sent multiple requests for help with an issue i was experiencing with my Just Friends module but nobody ever responds, actually they did - but it took a couple of months and then they didnt even respond to the question LOL. the Gil email used to respond very promptly and was very helpful but over the last few months since around december I get nothing. i dont get it. Hire me to be your customer service rep because whomever you have on it now is not on par.

I am new here so take me with a grain of salt, but, I think discussion of ‘bugs’ or the steep learning curve of the UX of the module is on-point here, and of value to people sharing experiences of the module or evaluating whether they might want to buy the module.

I think discussing shipping notifications doesn’t really add value to the thread, in terms of everyone understanding the module. Whimsical Raps has a contact form.

I’m still really struggling with loops in LIVE mode sometimes, and I’m wondering if others can confirm the behavior or address my foolish ways. It seems like many times, when I try to set up a loop (play + record + toggle down to insert queue - wait - toggle up to close loop), the white loop light stays on and the loop never actually cycles. Depending on the state of things, this behavior can persist across reboots.

Any ideas?

yes the “Contact” form is there, we’re all aware

but are we supposed to just twiddle our thumbs and refrain from saying anything when our numerous attempts at the “Contact” form are ignored for months at a time??

especially when everyone else it seems has received their packages and are having fun being destroyed by frustration of figuring out their new modules or using their previous Mannequins modules issue free without a care in the world

I’d like to echo this sentiment. The impatience is tiring to read.

I have encountered the same problem. It happens at random. In my case a reboot usually fixes it.

I have also noticed that operating w/ gets messy if you have cv plugged in when booting up

@Galapagoose is kind enough to jump into threads like this and discuss directly with Mannequins users, which is great, but that doesn’t mean this is an appropriate channel to reach Whimsical Raps about shipping concerns.

I have the same thing happen occasionally. Cycling the power seems to get it working again.

I’ve had similar issues. I’m not sure it’s always the cause but when i’ve had issues they seem to crop up when i get playful w/ the cue points. Most of my play once I get a loop going seems fine and i’ve left the unit running for hours w/o issue, it’s jumping around or adjusting the loop points where I occasionally run into snags.

It’s only been once (and I think I did a very fast power cycle) that I found a reboot didn’t fix this, but w/ that said I recall at least once where a power-cycle didn’t fix the lock, but a second longer power cycle did fix the problem.

nobody is happy that you haven’t recieved your gear
as stated above, i’m in a similar position as you are…actually there are several of us affected by the delay

we’ve had a chance to express ourselves here for a bit and now have been asked politely to keep the discussion of the module seperate from concern about our order thru WR

we can either email them directly or start another thread so this one can remain on topic
