These videos (and intros) are getting incredibly charming @Galapagoose! Even the webcam compression artefacts are giving sweet vhs vibes

Live at 4pm EDT!

Let’s explore Geode mode! I think / hope / believe it will be interesting even for those without a Just Friends— All about sequencing sequences of rhythms, with my favourite ratiometric timings.

Plus there’s a new Druid which we can run through together!

PS. The youtube stream has been updated with 2 missing episodes.

Thanks sooo much for that. I’m really looking forward to finding some quiet time to sit down and go through them.

In the absence of a just friends module trying out some of the ideas from this weeks live stream.

Going to have a think how to get it to ‘swing’ a little next (and also make the sounds more interesting - the two synth defs are just very simple models of an 808 kick and closed hat)

20 lines of quantizer. so easy.

edit: this is why i love crow. for example, so easy to just flip the negative phase of an LFO.

-- invert negative voltages, eg negative phase of LFO
if note.volts < 0 then
	note.volts = note.volts * -1

I just finished the 3 Sisters stream and enjoyed every minute of watching Trent’s approach and I’m happy he posted it as he voiced he wasn’t sure he would.

On the last stream about Geode on Just Friends we heard about a firmware update for W/ but in the 3 Sisters stream I took it that there is more than one new firmware in the works. Exciting days.

Btw, anyone watching these you will be hard pressed to not GAS on wanting two of everything that Trent’s making.

Today’s stream is stepping back from the usual music-orientation of the stream, instead diving into the Crow module’s firmware.

We’re currently finalizing v2.0 and so I’ll be doing some tests, walking through some of the build system, and maybe even solve a bug or two. Ideally there’ll be a Release Candidate posted by the end of the episode.

Great idea for a stream! Unfortunately I’m working today. Hope it gets posted later. These are the highlight of my week currently lol

Hey @Galapagoose, haven’t fully caught up with latest upload but was just wondering if you’ve considered something like semantic-release?

You would have to change your commit workflow a little but you could get automated versioning and changelogs written up. Maybe even inject versions in your files.

Although, you may like the ritual of doing this manually…

Now to carry on watching whilst I work

Just a little heads up I’m taking this week’s stream off. Need to focus on getting this new firmware updates for all our modules complete. I’ll be back July 2nd with an action packed episode with a bunch of new bits!

Sneak previewing the new W/2.0 firmware. It’s reimagined from the ground up, improved from the inside-out, and more immediately fun than ever. It’s been a long time for me since a project coming together was slowed down because i couldn’t stop enjoying the experience of using it…

Tune in for access to the beta download!

Trying out a new camera setup to break out of the hazy thinkpad cam :camera_flash:

Looking forward to you posting this, very exciting stuff! Thanks @Galapagoose

Super-Cool! Enjoyed the demo.

Thanks for all of the all of the effort put in to making w/ even more awesome!

I can’t be the only one missing the Trently Show today?

Pretty sure today’s unaired episode of the Trently Show is smashing crow, JF, and w/2 bugs in anticipation of the big synchronous release, but this time he gets to run his fan to cool down

I’ve been having a ton of fun with this script! I modified the scale with a melody and stuff like this ended up happening…

It’s Mapsday the 16th and that means another encounter with our superhero Trently!

Maps is back!

Today I’m setting out to build a norns script that allows you to upload crow scripts from the bowery collection. Some kind of wacky script in a script thing, bringing together a lot of pieces of technology.

This is the first part of a bigger idea, the details of which I’ll explore in-stream. I’ll patch up some fun Geode rhythms from the new Just Friends update to keep this mumblecode session interesting!

Frantically setting up a Windows dual boot to try and get this dual camera setup working…
