I want one of these so badly, I’m losing my goddamn mind.

I was in the exact same position until approximately 12:35 pm EST today–haha. The Wing Pinger isn’t something I’d recommend–unless you’re losing your mind because you don’t have one. In that case it’s highly recommended–what other choice do you have?

A little pulsing Wing Pinger fun for you to enjoy. This is an instrument that is full of surprises!

Thank you. I have a few now on my YouTube channel, but I’m sure a few more might force their way out soon too

@robinrimbaud thank you! After an intense morning this piece of music really made me relax during lunch break. I own a Soma Lyra-8 that I love. The Winger Pinger sounds just as inspiring/inviting/exciting. Looking forward to more of your explorations. Thanks again!

Ah, that’s lovely to hear! Not had the chance to play with a Soma Lyra-8 as yet either. Nor the Pulsar-23 which looks like a truly amazing instrument. The Wing Pinger constantly surprises me with possibilities too which is rewarding. Thanks for listening!

Anyone closer to knowing exactly which midi cable is most likely to work yet? I am keen to plug my keystep in… I don’t own any din to jack cables so looking to buy. Am guessing the Befaco one would a good shout as they do one designed to work with Arturia kit (whatever that means?). Thanks!

It is such a bat shit crazy machine- I flipping love it! Below is a clip of some squelch that happened last night.

Midi is type A as far as I remember.

i invested in a few of these and they are a real problem solver with all sorts of gear…

An expansive 23 minute live recording of the Wing Pinger, in a very ambient, meditative mood. I encourage you to listen to this back on speakers or headphones, or else you’ll miss out on some very deep and sensual bass sounds too. This is definitely an instrument that keeps revealing itself in new ways.

what are those holes on the face for, leds?

I have often wondered the same thing. That’s what it looks like but there are no LEDs in them.

Nice video @robinrimbaud! There are trimmers beneath all of the holes. The cutoff trimmers are more accessible–implying that mortals may tune the filters and live to tell the tale. The Q and ExpFM trimmers are filed under the --good luck with that! category.

Thanks - I saw the trimmers on the left, accessible, but also thought the others, empty looking, were possibly for LEDs. Not sure I’m going near any of them then! :joy:
