I think how it works is that the switch per channel sets low or high input, whereas the switch on the master sets low or high output. So you’d set per channel depending on the volume of what goes in (say you want to mix a synth and a guitar) , and the low/high switch on the master would set whether you want to run it into an amp or out to line level.

Ughhh! I have a thing for rotary dj mixers. Which one is that?!

Ha I saw it here https://twitter.com/markernestus?lang=en

An Isonoe ISO420, I believe.

Right, that’s what I meant by “output gain,” vs the other four which alter each respective input channel.
Makes sense.

This looks incredibly expensive

It’s always a bad sign when there’s no price listed, but gets mentioned in the same breath as E&S and Condesa.
Isonoe built a custom mixer for Plastic People (RIP).

This nice little thing in my local used sales. about 100 USD, so not that cheap.
Apparently Finnish produced Proxsonic. 3Mono, 1 Stereo

What’s the size? It looks nice!

EDIT: oh, not clear form the first post, I din’t buy it myself, just found it for sale.
Don’t know. But a quick on-screen measurement makes it about 24x35 cm. W x H
Here’s the danish add, let me know if you need some translation assistance.

If it weren’t so far up north I might be inclined to get it. What’s bothering me is the power, it looks unnecessarily bulky. Other than that, the feature set and design looks nice.

Just find Sigma (vintage Japan, now they called Kamesan) mini mixers.
3 or 4 channels

my friend has their compressor and find its quality as superb.

Just jumping on the Rolls train: I’ve been using this passive 4 channel stereo mixer and I think it’s as small as it possibly could be:

Bonus trick: I have a pair of noise cancelling headphones (Bose QC-25 I believe) and when the noise cancelling is engaged it effectively acts as a preamp, making it work just fine with the passive mixer. The sound is not pristine but when traveling light I’m ok with that.

Any chance those inputs are normalled for mono signals? Or do I need to split a mono signal into 2 cables to feed the L/R inputs

This is along the lines of the Land Devices mixer (which looks wonderful) and is a bit cheaper, while taking a different approach to blending, send/return, and series/parallel - plus it’s only $129 (and these guys are friends so of course I’m biased).

I’ll play with that! Every sound source I brought with me has headphone outs so I’m using those, but I did bring an Avalanche Run and not the right cables to do stereo.

This looks really interesting: https://centrance.com/mixerface/

I recently got one of those Land Devices mixers and it has exceeded my expectations. Solid build and the knobs feel great and precise. Highly recommended!
