Something like this in a smaller eurorack format would be awesome!

This is a standalone version of the FSS Eurorack pin matrix, so what you want already exists

Has anyone tried the FSS Eurorack matrix mixer?

Oh my gosh - I am so embarrassed to not have done any googling on it first! But also, that is freakin’ awesome!

just picked this up for $27.99 on amazon (i know), but it’s fucking dope because it’s a four channel minimal mixer with 4 ins/1 out, but it’s all 1/4” stereo jacks. no panning, but you can drive the audio really nicely, and it’s about the size of two iphones stacked.
highly suggested for ciat-lonbarde, walkman sets, teenage engineering setups, and especially monome stuff. it’s a real game changer for my tiny camper studio!! less cables.

Drooooooooooollll… :flushed:

they have a eurorack equivalent module

Yes, I’ve been using it for years. It’s a solid design. It only got replaced in that case where it resided because a friend kept pointing out that an SSM Matrix would fit my purposes better, but I miss it sometimes. Pins can be fun and somewhat handy even as a performance tool.

Ahhhhh lusting over one of these lil amps

I can’t help you if you’re lusting after it for aesthetic reasons, but you can easily build a functional equivalent Ruby Amp into a stomp box enclosure and put a belt clip on it. I’ve built several and they sound great (even better when hooked up to a bigger speaker or even a cabinet.)

This one looks really nice
Intended for CV but will work for audio it says on the site.
And it needs a special power supply

Recently stumbled over these two DJ mixers, which seem to tick a lot of boxes for me. The first one is particularly interesting due to it beind battery powered!

sorry for the bad image, but more info here:

Can anyone recommend a decent compact mixer? Ideally looking for stereo in/out and decent sound quality.

Basically going to make a ciat-lonbarde trolly to go along with my modular trolly and I want to have everything setup with a mixer underneath to control levels.

I was looking at the KOMA field kit, but it only has 4 inputs (mono), so between two ciat-lonbarde instruments, that’s all the inputs gone. Plus, I don’t need most of the bells and whistles that has either.

Was there something wrong with the little mixer @jonsimon posted about a handful of posts back in the list?

In checking now, it’s not available in the UK/EU, but I did find what appears to be the same thing, but with different branding:

I do wonder how “low noise” it is.

I also remembered/realized I have an older Beringher mixer that may fare well in this context. Again, not super low noise, but it is on hand.

oh wow this is really inspiring! I might steal this…are these just those ubiquitous ikea trolleys?

price/quality of used mackie mixers from ebay is hard to beat

Yup!

My skiff is like the perfect wideness to sit inside the recess of the top one. I have some 3d printed parts that hold it up at an angle like that, and made a whole wrapped snake thing so there’s a single “cable” that goes to my desk.

Maybe the Rolls passive 4chan stereo MX41b? Never had any issues with the sound quality, but I use it mostly in lofi contexts
