You seem to be very handy, and I’ve been impressed at how quickly you’ve built the Ciat-Lonbarde circuits so would you be willing to make your own Tetrax?
You can get the precursor (called the Tetrassi) as a paper circuit, and you can also download the Osmond OSM file. You could use the instructions upthread from @mlogger to turn this into a Gerber file and have some PCBs manufactured.
Then look at the assembly instructions:

Just an idea!

Hey thank you so much! That means a lot  I’ve actually considered the terrazi build! I’ll go through the menu and think some more

As a Sidrax owner and potential Tetrax buyer, I’d love some feedback on how you get along with the Shnth if you do decide to go for it.

Generally, the programming side of things is something I’m not into but I think for the price it could be a great piece even if just using all the presets that are already out there.

The other thing that put me off is that the community seems to be much smaller and less involved these days, though it does exist.

Sidrax is great though!

I had mine up for sale because I didn’t find it useful when patching and got a little tired of it’s raw tone. I took the sale post down and started experimenting with patching and now I’m over the moon. The green glitch inputs are SOOO fun. The extra barres on Sid make it fantastic for having some melodic sounds and saving at least a couple barres for more out there sounds or sound FX!

It also really starts to shine when you get into cross patching :+1:

Here’s a recent patch I did that utilizes the “sacrificing a couple barres for experimenting” but still having a melody as well as using the press/release gestures to flip n skip the Coco buffers:

I’ve been looking into this also and have done some work deciphering the symbols on the paper circuit. I’ll post them here later today if you’re interested.
Someone (not me) did the work of converting the Mac OSM files of the paper circuits to Gerber files but I don’t think that they are verified:

If you’re going to order a Tetrazzi board, please let me know! I’d be interested in one too.

if you could share them i’d really appreciate it! i’m going to be ordering some in the next few days haha

I started a new thread on the paper circuit Tetrazzi here:

hey this is a divergence from tetrassi discussion, but i was looking over the block diagram of the esoterica stuff that @Rodrigo shared in the shnth thread and found some interesting stuff about chainlock and spikering -

Screen Shot 2020-05-25 at 1.29.10 PM

the photo here seems to show the same “Arp-Serge Assemblage” schematic for the rools gewei tempo control of rolls - rather than using a piezo as pugix had i’m going to dig into my last chainlock build and see what kind of results i get by separating the nodes rather than have them collected into one jack. i could be grossly misinterpreting this, though.

Update:

i feel like people were probably aware of this already but i feel like an archeologist lol.awesome results!!!

Wow, yours sounds very different to mine. Are you using other gear to control it or just Fx on the output?

I’m controlling it with the touch plates. I recorded 3-4 drones into MLR and then added a hearty amount of delay and reverb in my DAW.

ah, think it must be the delay and verb! Tend to use mine very dry with a little passive EQ box to emphasise highs or lows.

somewhere I read that laptop power supply for CL are recomended concerning noise issues. Is this true?
do you think that this PSU is ok to power 3-4 CL synths (eg. 2x plumbutter, cocoquantus & sidrax)? - definitely plenty ampere. Or better look at wall-ward psu…

Output Voltage :12V
Output Current: 5A
Output Connector: Barrel Plug Center Positive 2.1mm x 5.5mm
Input Voltage VAC: 90V AC to 264V AC

Yes looks good. 20 char.

hey hey, does anyone happen to know if meng qi apcs use center positive 9v power suppy? or cennter positive 12v?

thanks!

Not been following this super closely, but looks like the Stuber is finally here.

And some schematic-y info too. I guess the plan is to turn all the “oval” synths into a newschool dudero.

@Rodrigo Thanks for the link. I was about to make a post speculating how it differs from the old Stuber!
It has 4 SVFs rather than the old Stuber’s 2, and has the Shmance multiplexors as well as the octave dividers. Very cool!

On a web trawl for the Ciat Lonbarde Fourses, I found a video of one that has been recased as an OvalSynth:
