The case finally arrived for my newly finished Meng Qi Rollz-5 build and I’m super happy with how it turned out!

Right now I’m just obsessed with the ultrasound filters and am really trying to squeeze every sound possible out of them: rhythmic, harmonic, or straight up chaotic. My cat is loving it.
Has anyone been able to run audio through the ultrasound filters from their DAW? Would you just need some kind of format jumbler with a shared ground?

You can run it into a JMBLR (format jumbler) and then into an interface and then record with your DAW.

I actually just recording into a Ableton with my new Komplete Audio 6 MK2 and here is the result :slight_smile:

It’s done within the string (Karol us strong) opcode which already includes the short bursts/envelope of white noise into the delay feedback line prepatched

and here is my attempt triggering the string opcode with the wind opcode

yes ! i forgot to put mounting holes :sweat_smile: but it should be fine, i think… just have to glue them on the inside of the case, i guess?

Double sided tape!!!
Thats what I did with SPIKERING even though i did mounting holes - i didnt want more screws in my bottom panel lolol.

I used one of these to attach my little output mixer perfboard to the meng qi rollz5 board, pretty impressed with the adhesive

Just cracked open my box to confirm (and, perhaps this is already common knowledge here)… general C-L obelisk convention would have the square pad wired to ground, which is NOT the case on the original paper circuit for the Gerassic Organ. Being that the Gerbers you used to fabricate these PCBs were contrived from the original designs, you’ll want to wire accordingly once you’ve built this thing… don’t want to fry a 4067.

I JUST helped someone else with this too!
Had to follow the trace over the the 4067’s GND - another easy way to tell - that trace runs right over to the negative side of the decoupling cap. :slight_smile:

Curious if anyone has tried using a Korg SQ-1 to sequence their CL gear. I was looking to utilize a Voltage Memory but haven’t had any luck finding one, and would love to use the SQ-1 I have laying about.

Here’s a quick example I threw together of an SQ-1 and Tetrax- it works ok, you just have to keep the SQ-1 in the top half of its range, or the Tetrax goes below audio rate pretty quickly. I think the rest of the C-L stuff would behave similarly.

wondering if anyone has used Tl06x chips in their paper circuits builds? They seem to get a bad rap on forums for their tone and higher noise, but Peter uses the surface mount versions in plumbutter and the lower power usage is attractive to me.
