oh wow, if you end up making and selling this i’d be very interested

Some of the paper circuits are just mysterious like that. I’m not sure if anyone here has built one, but I can build it sometime and find out if you like. (Talking like in a month or so, currently I don’t have any spare parts)

Gettin closer!

i feel like i hit some real hainbachy vibes with this - sending a new order tape into one node of each roll and the input of one ultrasound filter, the second filter gets a node off the 5 roll and everything else is patched out from the rolls being slightly clocked (?) by the tape audio. its really pretty

^ that was super cool! I’ve never tried running a “full track” into the ultrasound. Time for another study :+1:

Hey Everyone,

I just released a 2 track EP of generative ambient on Bandcamp. It was made with a BugBrand modular, Cocoquantus & OTO BAM.

The Quantussy section of coco fed a quantizer in the BugBrand system. I used other voltage from the Quantussy to occasionally freeze the Coco buffers.

It’s soft, noisy & sparse music meant to be played in the background. Free to download if you’d like :+1:

(I know this is probably not the right spot for this but I didn’t feel it was worthy of its own thread)

I’ve been looking up videos of various cl instruments and have really taken to the sidrax’s sounds recently. Some of your videos with it have been great! Do you have anything on your bc that showcases it?

cool, thanks for that!

Hi all - I’ve been reading through threads about Plumbutter 2 fixes - one of my Gongues doesn’t seem to be triggering appropriately…

Is it really as simply as unscrewing the four screws of the middle section to check the connections? Or do all screws need to be removed on the whole thing? Are the top pieces glued to the circuit board?

Also wondering if there are certain patch situations that might affect a Gongue - like anyone run into complex patches that cause strange behavior (the kind that are unexpected or make you think something is wrong)?

Should I email Peter or just try to open the thing? Thanks for any help!

Is it triggering at all? What happens when you adjust the knob outside the silhouette (for the “pace” of a gonger).

It’s triggering randomly sometimes when I plug / unplug - but it’s not consistent, regardless of where the knob is set…

I have a patch going tho - need to unplug everything so I can test more accurately…

It could possibly be related to feeding voltages into the blue verso/inverso inputs which speed up/slow down the gongue divider. I would definitely unpatch everything and test in isolation.

Yes - thank you - will do. Was wondering whether it’s possible to within a patch have some kind of voltage losses i.e. an unbuffered mult…

Gotta record this sick jam first…

Hello all, quick question for the DIY’ers. What value pots work well to control CV depth between patch points on CL instruments? I have recently acquired a Sidrolz5 (5rollz + sidrax) and would like to make a little companion box at some point that would allow me to conrol the amount of signal allowed through between patch points (preferably from NONE through to FULL level). Any help appreciated, even if it’s just a value to start from.

John Macedo is documenting his work with the IFM eurorack system. Highly recommended.

I’ve seen people use 10k and 100k pots. i think its personaly preference which one you use if you’re going from an input signal to ground.
