Oooh, very tempting!

I have to head out to SF for work pretty often, regrettably not during this

If my parent’s weren’t coming down up to Seattle that weekend, I would fly down there…

I am also really interested in the sidrassi. If you feel like selling it, let me know.

The registration link for the noisebridge workshop is now live. I’ll be there!

What a great day (beautiful day in SF, with Pride festivities in full swing). Totally in love with the shnth, and I love the immediacy of the tocantes. Noisebridge is a sweet spot. James Sundquist at Noisebridge was collecting contact info for folks that want to get together to make paper circuits, so you might contact him if you’re in the area and want to join in.

So, did anyone get the Mocante for the modular rig?
Amcurious to hear some first hand experiences, and how well it integrates.

Peter had a Mocante in a box with him, and I believe it eventually came out of the box at a synth meetup last night, but I wasn’t around for it. I believe it was intended for https://twitter.com/dirty__bill if you want to ask him about it.

I believe the Mocante demo happened at the Synth History Museum meetup later that evening? Not sure, I wasn’t able to be there. I was across the table from you, but we didn’t get a chance to say hi. I wish I lived closer to Noisebridge, so many cool things going on there (well, I love Watsonville, but I wish I could teleport to SF!)

Folks in NYC should be able to check out a Mocante at Control in Brooklyn – http://www.ctrl-mod.com/products/mocante-with-wooden-case

I was there this weekend, but was so taken with the Folktek Matter that I forgot to look for the Mocante :no_mouth:

“Quite a bit of manual soldering of additional resistors and capacitors
is evident. Not sure if this is due to it being an early revision of
the board, or just normal tweaking.”

That made me giggle a bit.

I love his hybrid instruments with this being a particular favorite:

It’s also a really cool/smart idea using the “surface” of the mocante for something other than resting it on the table.

Yeah, Meng Qi’s stuff is great! Just received his Lines module, which I’ve quickly tried with Peter’s Fourses and Sprott. Sound is out of sync and not that interesting, but here’s a 3 sec demo, lol: https://vine.co/v/5W0E6ErHWnL
