Finished my build of the Phosphate of Aluminum Crystal Simulation with Ultrasound filters this weekend.
It’s played with the keys on the right. The grey patch points on the left are outputs for each key and can be patched to the violet inputs at the top for permanently connecting them to the star input on the PACS PCB. They can also be patched to the two Ultrasound filters (green = input, white = output) on the right. The white output at the top in the middle is the audio output of the PACS, the green input in the middle goes to a 3.5mm line out on the back.
The gain control pot for the PACS audio out controls the gain of the LM386 amplifier on the PACS board, the gain pots (50k) for the ultrasounds are used as variable resistors in place of the 22k resistor on the ultrasound PCBs.
For the keys I made a PCB in Osmond which can hold Cherry MX switches. I will open-source this PCB once I’m completely happy with it.
The artwork is Magritte’s “Man with a Bowler Hat”, bought as a sticker on Etsy.

And it gets really wild with Bastl Thyme in stereo!
