This is a handy site for SMD Cap codes - which is what I believe Peter uses for code. but sometimes the numbers don’t match up to suggested values from even himself lololol

maybe not what you’re looking for, but the smaller elektron bags are the perfect size for the coco 2 with space above for patch cables/power cords to keep it snug when I travel. fits perfectly in a backpack and padded enough for peace of mind granted I’m not throwing it around.

I use a pair of Apache cases from Harbor Freight. You can fir a Sidrax & Cocoquantus in a single 3800 case. I face them away from each other (so their pots/switches don’t hit each other) and just lay a thin layer of pluckfoam between them where the wooden backs would touch.

PB2 is too wide to fit in that, but I put that in its own Apache 4800 case.

I also have a little Apache 2800 that I use to carry all my banana cables, power cables, Low-Gain UTL-1, TRS-> dual TS Y-cable adapters, etc.

this is so cool, would love to put this module in my system.

those banana jacks do some pretty close together…i’m curious in practice if banana jacks would fit being next to each other with the cluster being so compact. I’d be fine if it costed a few extra hp if that was fiddly…spacing out the design might also allow you some more spacing with the knob which could get fiddly if you have a bunch of stuff plugged in.

I also think it’s good to have a screw to fasten pcb layers together (I have a couple modules that just use pins and they’ve become half-unseated causing things to mysteriously not work until I figured out what it was…ones that are screwed together don’t have that problem). And if there’s room, I’d probably try to flip the components on the bottom pcb so they are sandwiched between the pcbs as opposed to outside the case on the same side as the connector.

I was thinking about actually making a v.2 in the future that was a little wider, and more spaced out!

The hole for the standoff will be in the lower left space! Great idea and thanks for that input :slight_smile:

Check out the Buchla and Modular Addict cables too. They are pretty much the same size. Modular Addict’s have a slightly looser fit than Pomona and Buchla. Buchla and Modular Addict are less rigid than Pomona and have a satin finish. Pomona cables are the most likely to last forever.

I bought them from Mouser. They’re pricey but I prefer them to the more generic banana cables.

the pomona and the buchla cables are virtually identical in size/shape (buchlas are branded pomonas…the buchlas have a slightly different finish). you can find both at various online synth shops, but there’s every color/size combo at mouser/digi-key.
