benefit of open tech like monome and CL

he acknowledges them as influences and peers + has taken his own instrument design to another level (honestly on par with their creations)

look at that woodwork!

i saw the MQ Sidrax and it was lovely. That this thing looks kind of klunky to my sensibilities. Way better than i could do I’m sure but looks rather large

So, I decided I would get all cuddly with my Plumbutter today and this came out:

Tape Echo was also involved. I am in love with this thing. Didn’t know this was possible.

Nevermind! Two 10Ohms did the trick!

Just posting this over from youtube. The new mr grassi seems to bring something new to the ifm modules seems like more of a complete system.

Nice! I had denum & sprott for a while, i thought they were both great. Looks like quite a powerful little system with the grassi on the end… I love the mobenthey aesthetic too! Guy in the video has 4 denums on the go there!!! haha crazy

I even like the look of that mocante touch synth too. Not too many demos around though.

Mr. Grassi is a lot of fun!

I remember hearing about this years ago, but Peter made a blog post about the Shbobo Shtar:

I’ve not been playing much guitar/strings lately (other than some banjo!), but my Namasitar is one of my favorite Peter instruments ever. Super expressive.

Bumped into a new shorter sequel video on Peter by Synth builders today

Caught these a few days ago… What an interesting guy!

My daughter watched this and remarked, “This is what a genius sounds like.” I had to agree.

Totally… I liked that part where he goes off to that cave to play his tocante and set off the purple smoke… Almost like it was some sort of shamanic ritual!

Can you share some recordings & thoughts on Mr. Grassi? On the surface it seems like an almost idea “weird chaos interface”, but actual evidence of its thoughtful use has been difficult to find. Thanks in advance.
