I’ve had my eye on a Cocoquantus for some time and last night I picked up a freshly-listed Tetrax on a whim from Reverb. Your video was one of the two on YouTube that convinced me it would be fun to explore amd experiment with—thanks for making it!

I’ve spent the day reading through this post and thought it was cool to come across your video and wanted to share this with you.

thanks so much! im not used to analyzing circuits yet, so im sorry if my question was boring or stupidly simple haha
i will try!1

also regarding dogslit:
Mockeup of the front panel minues twoo piezo bars on the sides (the bars will be level with the panel in the end but i wanted to make it clear what the bars were on this mockup_))

might have to rethink the jack and pot placement on this guy… hmm

Thanks
AMY

that’s super sweet of you to share these thoughts. Have the greatest fun now then!!

now considering leds for monitoring outputs of preamps, swoops, and randos… would i just need to buffer their outputs, put them through a resistor, and then an led to ground? or is it more complex than that?

Thanks,
amy

You’re very welcome. After going back to look, both videos were actually by you! :joy:

I’m sharing the first video below for the benefit of those who haven’t seen it, but this made my mind up for me (and then I saw the other video which confirmed)—the sound is incredible! Out of curiosity, what does that preset on the H9 entail? Sounds like a filtered (?) shimmery reverb. Whatever it is, the combo is delightful.

That’s funny!

The H9 is actually running a standard preset, the Ultraswell which is ideal for pads. I’m not in the studio at present so can’t find what it’s actually made up of but presumably there’s something on the Eventide website regarding this. The H9 is a great comparison for synths too, one of the most versatile pedals around I’ve found

You can run LED Drivers to them.

Its a BOM for my little LED drivers - but feel free to copy the circuit!
I would use a 1k in place of the 4.7k.
I just never bothered to change the silkscreen lol.
You can also omit the Cap between GND and Power.

thanks so much! i figured it was a bit more complicated than what i thought haha

On the conrad paper circuits, are the small electrolytic caps 10uF or 1uF??

thanks,

I used 1μF.
Seemed to work fine

on the dogvoice, there are two different symbols that both seem to correspond to the .01uF poly cap? the more abstract one is polarized, so is it a hairy cap? or are they just the same?

the jellybeans are generally ones that are not critical values and can vary if different values are utilized.
The standard jelly beans with Lines in them like ||||| 105 |||| 104 ||| 103 || 102 |101 are what I believe to generally be more critical or “set” values.
Hairies, and Hairy look-alikes - like the 3 spoke and 5 spoke jelly beans are the ones I am referring as non-critical/non-set.

But I may be way off - this is just from personal tinkering.

Thanks! it was unclear… what specific transistors from the list are best suited for the Dogslit build, if you know? i’m trying to put together a BOM sheet…

Some parts you can ignore - as they are specific to my boards.

NPN = BC547
PNP = BC557

BC54X (546,547,548)

BC55X (556,557,558)

OMG THANK U! thats perfect

so on the dogvoice BOM, i see 11 1M resistors, but on my board, there’s only 8. are those three extras on ur build?

oops that’s supposed to say 10
Re-count.
There are 10.

Attenuverter
i want to use this attenuverter from kassutronics for the fm input, but i also want an unattenuated pitch cv input… how would i mix the fm input and the normal pitch cv to affect the big pitch knob? i guess i can just make do with a fully clockwise attenuverter at the fm input, right?

im still confused on what the potentiometers on swoop and rando do… are they worth giving cv inputs, or?

The Pots on the Swoops and Randos are kinda like a Rate pot.

so yes, they are worth adding cv inputs. haha
thanks!
