Ok so… I’ve seen these banana plugs that don’t have any wires attached to them, imitating a “node,” so that you can alligator clip or touch-play it. I can’t seem to find where I can purchase these. Does anyone know what they’re called?
Thanks Amy
i often use these as touch nodes
So are the whole things conductive? I’m not sure I understand which parts I’m supposed to use as nodes
Your could do a couple things - I plan to start adopting 4mm Bullet Connectors.
Otherwise the cheap chinese Bananas with removable sleeves work great if you install them upside down - with the threads sticking outwards.
the whole thing is conductive! you can even just use the plug part, but it’s a bit harder to remove that way.
I like these. They are very low profile. Just add steelwool! Here they are on my sidrazzi build:
your sidrazzi looks fantastic!
Omg I love that sidrazzi
Where do you get the pcb for the sidrazzi? It looks fun but I can’t find a pcb or paper circuit. I see the prototype but not the actual finished smd pcb. I don’t think Peter sells the pcbs anymore but is there somewhere I can get one? Thanks.
Amy
Got lucky I guess and found one on the forums years ago. The seller knew Peter and was given the assembled PCB, but never did anything with it.
is this a Sidrazzi or a Sidrassi? (SMD or THT)
Sidrazzi. Surface mount.
man… I want one of those boards SO badly lol.
I considered re-working the old Sidrassi but its kind of a nightmare… lol
Pretty complex! Looks like it needs some rearranging and resizing… just so much crammed together so tight
thats what the Sidrazzi is - an update of it
Lost instruments make me sad.
@laihalll are these what you have been looking for? Send like they’re available on digikey.
Thanks @corpusjonsey, what do you use the steel wool for?
I roll it around on the jacks to make semi-random connections.
