Thank you for the suggestions/directions.
Sounds involved, but I might take a stab at it.

I like the option 2 idea, and did some looking into it. Am not sure, but it seems that there would not be enough room for the power header to fit within/under the mezzanine (see photo) even with unshrouded pins, as these also add a 1mm or so at the base?
For the i2c angled pins like the ones on this backpack might work well…

I did (weeks after I got the 60 pod).
But also, part of the appeal to me is the low profile, which makes more sense as a desktop, and/or easily portable piece.

Ah, I see. But when it comes to me and my luck it’s always like that: something is bought and it needs some improvement. I fix it with some tools and whatnot and then when I’m done, a new better version comes out.

I like the look of these I was thinking about getting one just for touch controllers.

Would it be possible to power the Intellijel 4U Palette with a Poweradd Pilot batter? Seems like it might work. The Palette shows DC 15V on the power connection. The Poweradd looks like it will output DC Output: 9V/12V/16V/19V/20V 4.5A(MAX).

Looks like the 16V setting on the Poweradd should do the trick.

Does anyone have any experience in using the Polyend Anywhere with a wallwart? I’m considering picking one up but I’d really like to be able to plug it into the wall when I’m at home but I can’t seem to find any consistent answers on this. I’m considering picking up the Anker PD1 since it looks like it’s output is going to work, 5V/3A. If not, then I’ll likely just pick up a 4MS row power and look at other options to keep it portable.

I have been considering Polyend Anywhere but I opted for endorphine.es Power which is a neat 2hp power solution with built in multiples and it is working well with a my volts ripcord and an Aukey 20000 mAh power bank, it means that when I return to the studio I can just use my normal 12v power adaptor from the mains.

I use my anywhere plugged into an Anker Powerport with zero problems.

I emailed them beforehand to ask and Jacek from Polyend responded:

Anywhere was made to be used with a power brick, yet you can use it with a wall adapter as long as its amperage is enough to power up your setup. You can find an amp calculator on our polyend.com website, but you need something with 3A or higher and without the fast charge function.

Thank you much! I’ll triple check with the calculator and it just may solidify the decision that I want to go with the Anywhere.

I just moved to a Intellijel 62HP palette case and the the Poweradd Pilot battery. I’ll report that it seems to work well.

The battery seems to work on bothe the 12v and 16v settings. The power input says 15v so I’m guessing the the 16v setting might be more reliable.

lopro ansible mod commission for @laborcamp

if anyone wants to do this to their ansible use dk p/n 1175-1658-ND ---- it’s tricky to make the cable, and a pain to remove the existing headers, but this works. measured 25mm depth from back of panel.

I’m looking for suggestions on recording mobile modular. I’d like to record with my iPhone.

Ideally the interface would be small, not require batteries but that’s not a deal breaker. I’d really like to record stereo from the line Level output on my modular. I’m using a palette case with the 1u line out.

I’m looking at:

  • Sonic Port
  • Sonic Port VX
  • Roland Go Mixer Pro

I have a go mixer coming in the mail tomorrow, I can keep you posted on how it turns out. I got it with the intention of recording better audio for quick little jam videos to throw in instagram.

The lopro ansible TM arrived, and fits like a glove in it’s new home!
Thank you @tehn!

Just a quick update, I decided to not go with the Roland Go, I think it would’ve worked but I instead got a camera adapter kit so I can use my zoom h6 as an interface for my phone and returned the Go Mixer unused.

Quick question: I recently received an Aukey 20kmah battery bank and planned to use it with my Make Noise 104hp skiff. The MN accepts a 15v input for its power supply. I purchased a USB 5v–>9/12/15v adapter and verified with a meter that it supplies 15v. However, when hooked up to the skiff, nothing happens (well, the MN logo glows dimly but that’s it). ModularGrid has my power consumption estimated at 970mA on +12v and 450mA on -12v. Am I missing a component?
