I’m sad that @dan_derks and Racquel are no longer in Chicago and that our last hang was at their wedding just a few weeks before the pandemic started, but I’m happy for him and all that he has done for monome and this community and hope for continued success for everyone. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to safely visit the Monome crew in Delhi once this is all over.

it’s been a humbling + wildly inspiring experience to be able to watch clear-hearted, deeply dedicated people manifest so much for others over the last five years – not only idiosyncratic tools full of joy and artistry, but also actual breathing, living community. i have been remarkably lucky to have interacted with so many of y’all, both at and away from keyboard. it’s such a gift to be able to measure my life by the friendships, collaborators, and family i’ve found through lines.

i am insanely grateful to be able to more directly contribute to monome and all the other manifestations of the uniquely bright + warm lights that gather around it.

thank you for sharing your positivity, energy and kindness with me

Awesome news and really I interested in where monome is and going all around. Good luck @dan_derks and monome for embracing an employee as that’s a big step. As a sort of outsider since my 256 to ansible/128 to Norns I have loved monome stuff and especially there sort of nature they lend themselves to finding compositions/songs and having an immediate impact on in in a tactical way and being someone that doesn’t have enough time to try to create there own patch/script/etc it’s seams like Dan will be a great addition as he was already doing this for fun or kindness or curiosity or etc. :+1:
