Did some research I think the intellijel 1u are smaller so you can only screw in one side and there is an ugly gap, but it still works. Was thinking they should make little fillers that you could put in the space over top.

Thinking of making my way into modular with a small case based around the Morphagene, so bumping this thread for some advice 
My idea is to mainly use it for live manipulation together with op-1/organelle. Iāll probably record stuff to it and use it on itās own as well though so I want to pair it with a module that would give me a lot of interesting options for modulation.
Keeping it simple to start off. Would Pamelas New Workout be a good companion? Or perhaps the Wogglebug is better?
Also, would i need som kind of module like 4ms listen io to get the levels right?

pamās is good if you donāt mind some relatively straightforward menu diving.
I enjoy Batumi a lot with it.
Morphagene has auto leveling, though it is a little tricky. Youād need some sort of mic amp though if you wanted a microphone hooked up, and then something to get the sound out of the whole system. I use 4MS Listen. Itās good. I really enjoy the morphagene, for what it is worth.

I have Morphagene and ResEQ too, what a wonderful combo. Slight warble modulation on the speed and ātuningā the sound with the eq bands sounds so lovely. It can really make the sounds sing.

I have a question for Morphagene users; it appears as if I cannot record in to a new splice. I have something playing, hold down record and press splice. I then do all my junk. Then I press record again, to stop recording. The shift light blinks, but I have no new splices on my reel. The splice window stays that original blue all the way through. Am I missing something?
Edit: Found my issue; bought it used, options.txt were not factory settings.

Thatās the only special setting i use! just press record to record into a new splice

I could see the being useful. That way, youāre always preserving the original, even if youāre just overdubbing with a new recordā¦ everything goes in a new spliceā¦ plus, 3 min is a long time! Even if youāre going for the TLA
I think I might go back to that setting, now that I realized what was actually happening. Haha.

hey liners - I was hoping someone may be able to help me out here - I just got a morphagene and im trying to update to the latest firmware but I noticed the SD card that came with it has a nearly empty options.txt file - just one line
1 32768 0
ive searched far and wide and I have no idea how to populate it (the FW update is .wav file and doesnāt require the sd card.)

Do the update procedure and then Morphagene will populate the file with parameters.

You apply the update by playing that audio file through a patch cable, not placing it on the SD card.

Thank you both - I knew I had to play the .wav file into morphagene, ive updated a few modules over the years it just wasnāt clear that the morphagene populated that file AFTER the FW update, but after the update and a power down and up and again, it populated
Its like a new new module for Me. Massive update

I just ran into a really weird issue with Morphagene today. I recorded something into Morphagene a couple days ago hoping to come back to it today, but it was gone. However something I recorded a week ago that I deleted was in its place. I looked through reel mode just in case to see if it was there, but nothing.
This is so bizarre. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hiya, I have hundreds of prepared samples that are all different bit and sample rates, could I batch convert them to 48 & 32 bit rate to load into the Morphagene without any problems? I understand they need to be in this format to be read. Wondering what the device does if the samples arenāt actually at those rates but formatted to be. thanks!
Had anyone used an SD card reader and an iPad for reel/splice management?
If so, what app should I use?

You can just use the built in file browser in iOS (though Iām not sure which version this was introduced with , iOS 13 maybe?).
I use it for firmware updates on sd card based devices too
If you also want to edit the config file there are a few editor apps- Iāve been using koder

I think Reaper (Mac and Windows) is the only way to add splice markers to samples outside of hitting the Splice button.
