Tell us about this one, please. Beautiful effect.

Since you asked…

This was shot on decades-old 4x5" Polaroid Type 79 film whose chemical pods had dried out, so I swapped in a viable pod from another expired Polaroid film type (690) to see how it would work. The new pod was smaller and contained less chemistry, hence the somewhat incomplete and messy-edged development. Camera: Graflex Speed Graphic. Lens: 178mm Kodak Aero-Ektar.

I have a lot of fun playing around with these old instant films, although my stash is quickly running out–with no way to replace it. Makes the whole endeavor bittersweet.

I had to do a double take as I live on the Dungeness Bay and it looks identical to your photos. Really beautiful shots that most definitely evoke a mood.

Thanks! Glad you liked them.

Haha hadn’t heard of Dungeness Bay, looks stunning!

It’s lovely here, and I definitely need to get out more to take photos. Work has slowed down a bit, so I have no excuse other than I have been lazy because it’s the first time in my life I have been able to be lazy.
