Using my new Arc with the Mac/Max for the the first time. Has anyone else had some crashing from the ftdi driver? At least I think that’s what is happening (see log below). Also, the updates to the wheel lights are super laggy…I’m connected via a (powered) usb hub…should probably try direct usb connection and see if that changes anything. Here’s the beginning of the crash log:

FTDI crashing is a potential circuit flaw that was potentially present in the first handful of units that went out. e-mail info@monome.org to arrange a quick fix.

Hey tehn - sorry to bother you - do you know when analog haven are getting their arcs? I’m desperately waiting

You and me…you and me.

'cept mine’s going to PC.

waiting for AH to send over payment. will check in with him today, and i expect to ship the AH order tomorrow.

re: PC, they’ve been pretty unresponsive via e-mail, will also check in with them.

it’s very problematic for retailers to pre-sale before they have confirmation of incoming shipments. yes, we had delays, but also it’s not like the retailers had paid us prior.

Thanks tehn. Maybe I’ll give them a nudge next time I’m in.

Thanks tehn - I think I mentioned mine wasn’t a tradional order. Shawn doesn’t do that. Hes been doing this long enough that he won’t tell you anything till he’s looking at it…,…I cannot wait…can you please also check he has enough teletypes as well?

next TT edition is in a few weeks. i’m sure he’ll order some.

The next TT edition? Could you please elaborate or link me to it?

same TT. just a new batch.

Just found that out - phew. Thanks for that

Hey Brian…you already did the modification to this one.

Loving it

this. well done sir!

is there also ansible involved?

@tehn any idea when Petfect Circuit get Arcs?

Yes, one half of Ansible(+Arc) acts as a sequencer for Osc1 and controlls Cutoff for one filter. The other half controls pitch for OSC2 + modulation

they shipped from here on friday.

Arc arrived here in korea.
since it’s my first step into monome, which position is right for arc?
it seems everyone is using it as the usb port is on the upper left side.
most max patches i’ve got from the hompage recognize my arc the other way around
meaning I have to position it as the usb port is on the lower right side.
I know monome and max is all about how the patch is programed but just wondered.

try returns.maxpat which is included in the max 7 monome package (through the package manager)

your assumption is correct, upper left is the correct position. which arc are you using?

great! thanks! returns.maxpat solved it.
my arc is the new one I bought from you about two weeks ago that I had it shipped to new jersey, if you remember that.
