i havent touched plume much at all

gonna re-read the manual to see what i’m missing

On muffs there is a great thread with videos on the various modes. The oscilloscope in the video really opens up understanding of the true nature of the beast.

Look for the series of YouTube videos Martin Doudoroff did on Just Friends. Great resource.

sure thing, couldn’t be arsed to do it before but will watch

this probably makes people wonder what I have been doing with JF
ha

Right.

And this is functionality that I suspect is latent in the module. This is where I’m guessing the TT and maybe Ansible interfaces including USB will make this functionality manifest. I’m excited.

I should add that having two JFs is a thing of wonder. Two different run modes linked together. Wow.

I’ll also add that the 3 Sisters strikes me as the perfect filter for a pair of these, as you can spectrally mix the two outputs (assuming mixed, or mix-out audio from each respective JF), output in stereo, and have some astonishing, massive, deep, broad horizons of sound.

sounds cheesy to say
but they are made for each other

on a side note (now that I looked back at the JF manual)
I’ve spent 95% of my time in volley and spill

will definitely start patching the others as well

I wanna euro system so bad :frowning:

I know right? I sold my system some years back and I’ve barely looked back. I miss a few modules for sure but not the whole gestalt. This new ecosystem though… Inspiring stuff!

Let’s say - for argument’s sake - that one had two (2) Just Friends modules and one (1) Teletype. Would this new integration allow for that one Teletype to address both of the Just Friends?

what about that new -ish kawaii lil isms ?? :smiley_cat:

Well, who knows what will be - but let’s say someone has two white wales and one teletype then only one wale can be addressed at a time by the teletype…

but two ansibles can be addressed…

But with orca on one of the whales I think both can be addressed. As for just friends it would be awesome if it was similar to ansible in addressing multiples.

Of course I still don’t have a clue but I would say an orca and a white wale are not two white wales. I think the point is addressing the firmware not the hardware.

Yep, and the good news is the firmware is open source! The issue here is twofold. There would need to be a way of numbering the WW instances from the WW, and then a modification of the II syntax. Both I suspect are possible, but would take some time to implement.

Hold up! Let’s see what Just Type can do first before talking about what it would mean to connect two JFs at once!

Perhaps we’ve just invented something new, speculative synthesis!

Yeah, and it sounds nice…:hear_no_evil::notes:

Any folks with a JF & Teletype, and a couple hours to kill over the weekend we’d love to have you on board for beta-testing Just Type! Looking for some help to make sure the firmware update documentation is correct, as well as stress-testing the newly implemented features. You’ll need a USB A-A cable to update TT, and an audio playback device (laptop / phone) to update JF. Please send me a direct message here and I’ll get back to you with details. If you don’t want to give feedback, please wait until the 1.0 release is ready on Tuesday.

For everyone else, I’m planning to have some demonstrative video shot on Saturday. It will certainly only brush the surface of possibility, but hope to suggest the new territory this collaboration may unveil. This message would have appeared sooner had I not been lost in the wondrous sounds of earlier this eve.

So excited for just type. It’s an already brilliant module that’s blossoming into a whole new creature.
