Any ETA on this page being updated, or maybe rather a v2 doc added? http://monome.org/docs/modular/meadowphysics/
Also, excuse me if I missed this… I just skimmed through this thread again, having finally a little time to actually try this out… do we have presets in v2? I don’t see any reference.

hi @tehn did you have a chance to look into this?

v2 docs forthcoming, yes. still one last micro-update ahead of final v2.

@laborcamp i can check this tomorrow, apologies for the delay.

not trying to be pesky or anything.
but am wondering about the new MP and TT II commands issue…
still in my setup II TT comands work fine with the original MP, but not with the new (and awesome) version…
would love to get this working.

i did more testing and could not get any further insight regarding your situation, and then got buried in trip prep. i am sorry to say it will take me some time to get back to to this.

ok. thanks for the update. will wait to hear from you when you get a chance to dig into this deeper.

meanwhile: does anybody here have similar issue?

new TT and the new MP not communicating through II commands?

I can get MP.PRESET, MP.RESET and MP.STOP to work, but none of the others. I cannot FREEZE or MUTE. I’ve been a little out of the loop on this, just returning to the fray, so I don’t know what MP.SYNC is supposed to do… is it supposed to apply to all tracks?

Finally spent a little time trying to make music with MP II and I’m really enjoying it. Being able to send multiple triggers and gates to each output is most useful. Mixing self resetting and remotely reset counts seems to be the trick, for me, today anyhow. I will probably record this piece. Hoping to add an Earthsea played voice to what I have, first, though.

Any news on MP sending triggers when you press a button instead of when the counter reaches the side ?

did we figure out an interface method to allow both ways?

Could we think of a combo of presses of the panel button ?

anyone have any ideas on the simplest way to use the max version for poly-timbral sequencing?

i’d like each row of MP to clock a separate sequencer in my daw (live). this is how i’m using it with teletype, now trying to replicate that functionality on the software side.

my thinking is that each midi note from the max patch would be mapped to a maxforlive sequencer’s “clock-advance” control, but i haven’t found any m4l patches that have this function.

update: solved!

using this
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/3296/filter-midi-by-octave
to filter for notes

paired with this:

(module version question)
is it possible for one row to pulse the output of another row? i’d like to have two rows counting down a polyrhythm, but sending triggers to just one output on the front panel.

looked through the manual, but can’t seem to find a solution.

i’m not sure wether or not there’s a way to do this internally, but using a stackable patch cable will achieve the same effect…

you can do this is the trigger assignments page. check the tutorial video, and i can write up the solution once i have a grid in front of me

ahh. thanks!

out of ignorance i was totally ignoring the gate/trigger assignments columns, only really focusing on the reset column.

thanks for getting me to watch that video again

Feature Request:
Is it possible to implement the MP.RESET command for all rows directly in meadowphysics?
This would be very helpful to sync everything without Teletype.

i can’t think of a key combination that would work for this-- BUT

you can effectively do this by having one single row be the MASTER reset, but having it reset every other row except itself. have you tried this?

Anything decided to change the behavior so the triggers happen on finger press ?

Yes I tried, but for some reason (maybe i did something wrong) this does’t work for me in the same way like the mp.reset command

What do you think about the “Preset page” maybe this can be a good place for a MP.Reset-Button
