Back working with MP while trying to learn Kria (great, BTW) and it struck me that it is missing a probability setting per row. Probability of trigger or gate actually happening, that is. If 1st column + 2nd together gives us the RULES, could 1st + 3rd give us probability? I can always put a module in line, but I don’t have 8 of them, and this seems like it would be easy enough to implement and would add a different type of variation to those provided via rules. As far as I can see column 3 isn’t used for anything right now…

isn’t column 3 used to stop a currently playing row?

Yes. You are right. I’d somehow missed that and my patch was too complicatedly cross patched to see this working until I simplified…
Hmm.

I’ve been so confused about Meadowphysics until I found this thread - the documentation page still covers v1.

I bought it new recently and guess it must have the latest firmware already installed. Could not figure out why Mute/Freeze wasn’t working, now I see it’s been removed.

Also the counting behaviour and linking of rows has clearly changed, that was confusing me too. Being able to assign multiple rows to a single output is going to be great.

Any news on this ?
It would really be amazing.

that was implemented a many months ago.

hold left column, then press 5th column (will light up when “sound on press” mode is on)

i like probability per row. will think on that.

How did i miss this ??

I just tried to update the trilogy and TT but I don’t find the update_firmware.command in the MP box - what do I miss?

updated the release binary, redownload it here: https://github.com/monome/meadowphysics/releases/tag/v2.1

Thanks - that was fast!

I thought I read somewhere the suggestion of making the clock knob a divider/multiplier knob when the module receives a clock at its input. Did that make it into the last revision or am I delusional?

i could be mistaken, but i don’t believe this was implemented yet

any chance of getting midi clock selection for the max version? - I’d really like to sync with others  please?

Just got my fresh 128 up and running with MP as my first patcher. Doing the reading, etc. I am wondering how I can view the GUI window of the plug-in that I am routing MP to in order to make sound. Do I need to go into the actual patcher and do anything there or can I view it in the presentation patcher?

Thanks!

Running the Max version on Mac. Is anyone else encountering problems when attempting to store and recall presets? Perhaps I’m using it incorrectly…

If I select a preset number, create a pattern, store it, move to another preset number, then back to the former preset, and recall it, the pattern isn’t recalled, only the bpm.

I don’t own max. I know if you don’t own max you can’t save things though. Do you own Max?

Yep, I own it. Max 7.

Posting again about the Max (7) version (on Mac) with Grid. Is it actually possible to save counts/notes/trigger information, i.e., the melodic content? This doesn’t seem to happen with Store/Recall.

i believe the preset only saves the note map and patch UI data.

not sure how much hacking would be involved to get the JS data saved into presets, but clearly that’d be a huge usability improvement.
