Very cool. I think this makes the module do everything I ever wanted (for now

But it’s not even working without the teletype. Even when I try Alto. It just doesn’t respond to it.
The lights are flashing to the bpm.

Thank you!
It’s working but with lots of latency

Wow. All these updates are making it hard to be on holiday and away from all my toys.

I’m an idiot for not being more specific. Sorry.
I’m running a 2012 or 2013 varibright 128 (Serialosc 1.4, OSX 10.10.3)
But get no response and no leds.
Sum is running just fine.

Max window: (after connecting to my monome)

Wow.

Looks like a totally new environment. From watching the video, i can see how this might be a bit more controllable than the old vesrion. At least in terms of interface/functionality relationship. Super excited, and thankful () for this!

will the max version work with a smaller grids or will functionality be limited?

this is great! i was working around the synchronous triggers with teletype and rrand del. can’t wait to try it out.

This looks so great!

I could almost figure it all out from the video – still a little foggy on the route/toggle/trigger. The trigger part makes sense, but not sure about toggle. Also, in the video the text lists it as row 5/6 but it looks like 6/7 are lit up on the monome.

Are there any differences in the functionality (regarding the monome functions) between using this update with max or eurorack?

@polyoptics I was curious about toggle too. I haven’t had a chance to download and play w/ this (thanks thanksgiving), it looks like in toggle mode when it reaches the end of the row it causes a note on message which is then held. Couldn’t tell from the video if it was held through the next cycle of the Row or just for a specified interval, but this adds some sweet functionality either way.

This is super gorgeous. I’ve got it installed, and am looking forward to the documentation.

toggle simply means the output state is flipped-- so you can make alternating gates. trigger is a rather fast on-off.

the eurorack and max patch are the same fundamental code, so yes, they are the same.

@jhindsight this new version is designed to take advantage of the 128 size. i’ll try to think if i can adapt it for a smaller grid.

@scrag this is max 7 only. looks like you’re using max 5.

I still couldn’t get it running in Max 7 and vb… See my setup above. @CaptainMab has the same error.

Really can’t wait to play with this…

@sakul i’m pretty sure the wrong serialosc.maxpat is getting loaded. do you have multiple instances in your path? use the one included with max 7. i don’t get a ā€œsizeā€ report or a october-2014 message.

@tehn . I observed a strange behaviour when I reset the rows via Teletype. From time to time it sounds like that the single rows resets not exactly at their specific starting point. In the old Version everything was fine.

Is this an known issue, or do I something wrong?

holy crap. it seems I’m running an ancient max 7 version (and missed latest serialosc developments)

downloading the latest serialosc.maxpat and serialosc.js and put it in the same folder fixed my issue.

I need an update.

thank you!

Nah - that’s Max 7. (But now I’m feeling all left out cuz my Max 7 apparently doesn’t look like everyone else’s Max 7!)

I dropped the mp-note.maxpat into the folder next to meadowphysics.maxpat yesterday evening and it’s working fine.

Is it safe for monobrights yet? Excited!

i’m going to need a couple days for the monobright.

@koerby i’ll check out the reset stuff. i changed a bunch of sync things and forgot to retest the ii, but i know exactly what’s up, now that i’m typing this…

Yes this is my problem as well. the Max 7.0.0 js object must be a lil goofy. It also explains why the bpatcher was the wrong size for my local serialosc.maxpat.

So its all peachy everybody!
no need to worry about lil ol’ me!
