I sense frustration here, and I understand that the monome ecosystem can seem daunting. It was part of what made me hesitate from jumping in at first.
while I agree with you that there aren’t a lot of “official” monome branded (whatever that means) youtube videos that certainyl does not mean that there isnt a wealth of documentation about how to get started. especially in the last few months and with recent crow, norns and ansible firmware updates i feel that the “official” monome documentation on the website has gotten well organized and is very helpful and is a great place to start.
as to why there arent youtube videos, I cant speak to that but maybe thats just not what the monome folks are into. just because the eurorack marketing and influencer scene cranks out youtube videos, doesnt necessarily mean that everyone is comfortable or good at communicating that way. again, im making an assumption here, but maybe the monome creators feel better communicating in written documentation.
one last thought, and this may not be what you are referring to, but remember that if youre talking about norns scripts, crow scripts or teletype stuff, almost none of those things are “official” monome creations. they;re things that individual users have created for themselves that they are sharing with the community and whatever help they provide is up to them (which is usually abundant and super friendly at that)
while the info and entry into the monome ecosystem isnt spoonfed to you, it is certainly available, id say much more easily accesable today than it was 2-3 years ago, and is MOST definitely cultivated by a friendly welcoming community that in my experience is willing to help.
my 2 cents
