2.0 was running smooth, but when I restarted Norns an hour later It says none (error: audio engine).
None of my scripts will open up. I only get loading on my screen but nothing happens.

Here’s what comes up in maiden when I try to load orbit:

"/home/we/dust/code/ash/orbit.lua:15: attempt to call a nil value (field ‘level_ext_cut’)

stack traceback:

@Prnts (@tehn ) orbit needs update after this commit renaming ext to eng

you can make the change locally if you want to get going right away. (replace level_ext_cut with level_eng_cut and so on)

Thanks! Will give that a go

ah apologies! it is fixed now.

you’ll need to replace the ash folder with a new copy, or ssh in and run git pull from ~dust/code/ash

there’s a chance you installed an engine that is colliding?

connect via wifi, run maiden. go to the sc REPL tab. type ;restart

post errors here.

That’s the error message I received after first installing 2.0. It took a hard reset to correct the problem. Seems to be running ok for now.

Quick question, I’ve just updated to 2.0 from beta and now have the following directories:

dust
dust-v1
dust-old2
dust-old3

Assuming there’s nothing I need to keep on there, can I safely delete all apart from ‘dust’?

Cheers :slightly_smiling_face:

Yep! I haven’t had an issue with it. Just make sure you grab anything you want to keep from your “audio” folder.

Yeah this didn’t work for me. Still dead. This is so aggravating cause it was working fine until I turned Norns off.

No idea how to even run Maiden. Haha

Guys - Grazie mille!
Thanks a lot for the hard work to make 2.0 real!

Just a question: is it normal that files played in TAPE aren’t looped?
Maybe there’s a way to do that I don’t know because every time they stop I have to find them and play again also if it’s the same.

(is there any chance @enneff to develop a 2.0 version of rebound or a kinetic seq?)

I’ve logged part of this TAPE thing as a github issue here
https://github.com/monome/norns/issues/766

Please join in there if you want to add the request for looping.

Oh man! The new MLR is silky smooth. The audio sounds great at any speed.

I was wondering if there is some kind of envelope applied to punching in/out of audio recording and if so, if that could be a parameter that could be exposed in the settings menu?

Loving 2.0
