I’d be up to hang out for sure; my last code contribution was the overhauled JS grid library, and don’t have a Norns, but would happily come hang and chat code, interfaces, and instruments.

Another SE LDN Nornian checking in. Finishing my MA this weekend (cheeky plug: come to our degree show tonight at Goldsmiths, www.echosystems.xyz), so I’m actually keen to just get into making some scripts and getting to know it a bit more now that I’ll have some spare time.

Welcome and good luck tonight. I can’t make it sorry but in the coming weeks I’ll round up the names and suggest a meet. I have a local pub here in East London that will let me have downstairs so we can all geek out quietly over a beer.

I think the first meeting we have will be more of a meet and greet so we can get to know each other and what we’re all up to in the scenes. For instance right now I’ve just finished a new EP and just had the masters back and hope to find a record label that would like to sign me and work with me on future material. In the mean time though I’m in the middle of changing the way I produce so taking this time to noodle with my kit.

Likewise to Tomas, I’m Nornsless but interested! Also based in North London, so will be keeping an eye on the thread and would like to come along whenever something is arranged.

Not wishing to derail the thread, but I wonder how many of us are there this side of the Irish Sea?

No norns here but I am in Ireland.
Live in Co.Wicklow.

@Oootini used to be Dublin based…

I should change the thread, I was being a little sellfish wanting to meet London peeps here, but I realize this thread can widen it’s net you brothers over the water and our homies in Wales and Scotland. Everyone join in man We can all in time maybe do a Norns meet next year as we grow with our Silver box of magic

I’m over in Cumbria but it seems like HB has a thriving scene (I used to live in Todmorden a long time ago) - a load of musicians and writers I follow and am a fan of live over that way (Colin Robinson - Jumble Hole Clough, Spaceship Mark (my namesake), Ben Myers , Amy Liptrot - last two writers)

Is there much live stuff going on? I did wonder if it would be a suitable location for my first forays into playing live (I’m thinking of setting myself the target of playing out live in 2019)

Could you tell me more about grid and ansible please? Am I to understand you’d go from Grid > Ansible > A Voice > Maths (to modulate)?

Cork now  I have no monome gear these days unfortunately. Some day I will again I guess…

Grid and Andible is 3 unique sequencers (kria meadow and earthsea) and midi to cv. You load these apps via ansible module. Inspiring…
