Dont use subfolders on Organelle folder, at least for now. Tomorrow i’ll make more tests…

Awesome, works great without subfolders, cheers.

can you clarify this?

Where should the patch folders end up?

I’ve got this but minimoog is stuck on Launch… screen

Screen Shot 2020-03-30 at 5.02.12 PM

put minimoog inside Organelle and it should work.

just no subfolders inside Organelle subfolders

Ok then… so install instructions should indicate to put the zip file in the /home/we/sidekick/patches/organelle folder and not /home/we/sidekick/patches ?

I just update the instructions now, too much work/updates today :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

that sounds right with at least 20 characters

Having a couple issues with getting audio working properly on shield today.

If anyone else has issues with no audio on shield or OG norns, please zap me a message.

@Shreeswifty - you’re working OK with sidekick/Mother on OG norns hardware, right? Which OS version are you running?

I’ve had a few issues like that where i needed to boot back into Norns proper then return to sidekick to get audio to behave

how can i check what version i am on?

Sounds familiar then.

Norns version - from the SELECT menu page - hit K2 and the version number should show - like 200328

Just realized i took it kinda for given that my monome grids will work as input device for all of this…but uhm, does it actually?

search a little further back up the thread

no it doesn’t presently work for me unless someone has cracked it
is the grids supported in the Mec/Orac version of things, perhaps i am not grasping it fully but i was curious. I may be unclear as to Mec’s role-- perhaps that’s only in regards to midi?
I am just hopeful of the grail of using grids/arcs seamlessly in Norns with Pd

recorded samples are not saved? thanks

When you press button one and it brings up a menu, how do you modify the values inside the menu?

On the lcd some times i get index parameters from 1-4 and then at the bottom of the screen i get a 12Seq: Stop but cannot change it…

Cheers!

Does the recording of sequencers via aux work?

I have replicated a organelle and it cc messages and midi notes and i can change settings on the sequencer ( aux + key note) but i cannot get the sequencer to play back the notes.

I am feeding the sequencer with a midi clock…

Cheers

i don’t know if this is the best place for this post, or if the norns: help thread would be better but here goes:

i didn’t read about the manual update process and ran Update Mother. my fates just said Load…Update Mother and was unresponsive. i powered it off and powered it back on (didn’t know what else to do!), and started getting the “error: supercollider fail” message on boot, also no audio during the norns boot animation. i then checked this thread, did the manual update, rebooted; no luck. i tried updating sidekick, no luck. can’t connect to sc in matron, but ran sclang over ssh. just don’t know how to interpret the output!

here's what sclang spit out
*** Welcome to SuperCollider 3.10.0. *** For help type ctrl-c ctrl-h (Emacs) or :SChelp (vim) or ctrl-U (sced/gedit).

any help would be greatly appreciated! i backed up my dust folder so that if i have to reflash my fates image, there’s one less step in the way :joy:

NornsMother does not interfere with Norns software, it’s just a addon for Sidekick, it doesn’t overwrite system files or configuration files.
You are able to boot into Sidekick menu? Power up your Fates and press button 1 while it´s booting, Sidekick menu should appear.

Hi folks
I am looking for some help with running Axiome 4 on Norns Mom
axiome-0.2

Requirements: Pure Data, Livid Block Controller, Norns
optional; MIDI expander unit

Anyone else in //// got one and interested?

Axiome-0.3-sneak-peek.zip (44.6 KB)

It’s working perfectly on pd with linux 64 and i don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work on Norns. Superfun if you happen to have an old block
