That is @oootinis work, so he, if he has time, could maybe update that.

Not sure what you are referrring to  The original post is now a wiki, any member can edit.

I’m going to update this when I have some time. hopefully soon.

The less concepts 64

Edit: just realized I had quoted the start post :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I updated the less concepts 64 script linked here with the latest beat clock changes. Seems I didn’t break anything, but I only tested really quickly.

Can someone please test and let me know that it works OK? @noiserock @Hlp

Thanks first of all. I wont be able to test really soon i am afraid but will as soon as i can

seems to work, but it isn’t updating the bpm value in settings. i didn’t rename the folder to less_concepts tho, as this would overwrite the regular one.

hmm. you mean the tempo settings? I just spent the last 30 min playing with all kinds of modulated clocks going into crow. tempo seemed to update as best it could with the changes to the clock - no issues. also tried briefly with a keystep. all good.

by the way, i just drop the l_c64.lua file into the existing maiden installed less_concepts folder alongside the original less_concepts.lua. this way you can switch between both versions easily. https://monome.org/docs/norns/fileshare/

no the tempo settings are cool. i mean the tempo display number only in settings. it usually matches whatever link is. it doesn’t update now, meaning i do have to do some checks.

Molly the poly works great with 64s. I’d say it’s a powerful creative tool even.

Arcologies works with 64s, however LED feedback is made for variable brightness grids so it looks weird on mono bright 64s. You need a good grasp on how the script works in order to start having fun with it. But you can still make the bloops.

Howdy yall, picked up a Grayscale 64 tonight and ready to get my hands dirty (and learn lua with some training wheels)
Norns updates have been more extensive lately and I’m sure broke a few of the 64 scripts. Any pointers for getting started on a fix?

As far as adapting other scripts for 64 monobright, Is the main hurdle the interface design? Not assuming it is that simple but I would like to do some “gentle” tweaks as @Oootini has described them before.

Here is the maiden Otis_64 error: load fail

Thanks everyone, MLR_64 is working great. If there is a better spot for this post I can move it on over :v:

hi @alley_cam !

excited to hear someone else shares interest in script support for monobright 64s. as someone else who is in the monobright 64 club, i would love to help in any way i could. ive considered learning lua so that i could begin crafting up monobright 64 compatible script edits. perhaps this is something we might team up on?

really excited to hear about your interest!

Otis64 is just the main file from Otis copied and patched, not a full fork, and thus requires the same dependencies and libraries to be installed. You’ll actually need to install the regular Otis to get the 64 version to run.

I’ve been running it from the same folder as Otis proper (just copied in), as I believe this is the standard Norns convention for patched scripts. Not sure if this is strictly required, but FWIW it’s the setup I use for running / developing it!

Just want to add that @dan_derks Cheat Codes 2 works with a 64 «out of the box».

arcologies has consistently been one of my favorite scripts as of late. even though i only have a 64 grid, theres still so much im able to do with it! the type of script that will eventually make me give in to the allure of the 128! thanks so much for natively having support for 64 grids (even monobright!) and for all your hard work on arcologies
