we don’t take pre-orders perpetually. orders are accepted when we have a set ship date. we’ll be ready for orders in about a month.

This may be a dumb question, but do any of the apps output midi information currently? Several searches didn’t reveal anything. I’m putting together a small mobile rig for some upcoming camping trips and am trying to figure out what will play nicely with what, what to experiment with, etc. Not a coder, myself.

Yes, the Loom sequencer sends note on/off messages. Playing it right now with a digital piano. Select Output: Audio + MIDI in params.

The Foulplay sequencer can send MIDI and is a 8 track sequencer.

Those are the only ones that turned up in a search for keyword midi on the master branch.

finally got my norns after ridiculous 5 weeks usps delivery…beautiful! but noticed some black spot stain like patterns on the aluminum… anyone knows how to get rid of these?

glad it finally made it!

the aluminum finish quality is a result of the hard-anodize process (which darkens the aluminum) and we’ve been working with our machine shop to achieve consistency (which has been difficult for various reasons). we also oil-finish by hand each unit with boiled linseed, but this should not need to be re-applied. so what you’re seeing isn’t a stain per say, but a result of the anodize process and aluminum bar stock. e-mail info@monome.org if you have concerns
