Norns shield case designs

Tried something different with my Norns shield. Still trying to figure out if I like it. [9668596E-8F75-46C8-8971-1314A028B5E5] I also learned that you need to be careful with fusion 360. If you print a 2d design, it might not print at the correct scale. Didn’t turn out too bad considering I printed the hole layout at 96% or so scale.

I feel like my case needs a little more context . I am attempting to use Norns with a modified Crow as a somewhat massive i2c (maybe?) to CV in/out and module logic interface to go with my Buchla 200 system. This is nowhere near completion, but it is inspired by the Buchla 300 computer interface.

I’m scheming a dual machine cyberdeck with a NUC and a Shield based on the MSG cyberdeck design, but I can’t seem to find the actual dimensions of the shield anywhere. Can somebody help me out?

How do I get this converted to a .dxf file that I can open in my cad software?

Hi all.

I have a norns shield on the way - very excited.

I have an idea for a case, I wondered if anyone had done this, and, if it looked like a good idea.

The idea is for a larger case (heavier as well so it doesn’t slide around on the desk!) with a battery inside and a breakout cable from the 1/8 in to split to 2x 1/4" inputs.

I imagine it looking more like the production Norns - or like a guitar pedal - all enclosed in an aluminium box with appropriate ventilation.

1. Does this look like it would work?
2. Is this a good idea?!
