Very odd. I haven’t heard of any issues with the cases discoloring but I will look into it. I use a UV cured process which should make that impossible. Have you used any cleaning products?

That being said, I have seen some amazing paintjobs of my builds that people send me and I love them all. Rattle can sprays work an absolute treat.

Yeah, it is a bit strange, not too bothered, but may niggle my OCD, im the future.

May have used an anti-bacterial wipe on the case, from excess work batch.

This would make sense,will upload a jpeg later.

Some of your designs are excellent, as usual. (rushes off to search paints) hehe

Dremeled an acrylic glas from the original kit to fit this case. Had some colored caps left over from another project and since I lost one button, I used some Sugru to diy the buttons.
Nothing to be too excited about, but it came out nicely methinks.

Hi everybody, here’s my norns shield 3D printed case! Inspired by all of the works shared in this thread, especially @JHC design (but without having the need to laser cut the acrylic top plate) and @CarlosUnch buttons labeling technique.
I fully open-sourced it so if you want to add engravings or modify buttons and encoders’ dimensions and shapes you are free to go. Fusion360 files are at the end of this blog post. STL, hardware list, and instructions are on Printables.

Hello all! I am strugglingin finding a 3D model of the shield (PCB + Screen). Found a file, but this one is designed using mesh and surfaces, no solid. So i can’t export it properly (.step or .igs) to make an assembly on 3D model of a Rasp 4, in order to design an aluminium case.

Perhaps somebody here can point me to the right direction?

So nice! Appreciate the cooling and the light window. Is that nice hammertone texture in the model or is it just what your printer puts out?

My pony request for case developers would be built in cable strain relief for the audio jacks, I am still trying to figure that out on my next design.

This looks awesome! Is it made for a Pi 4 or a Pi 3?
Edit: Remixed a bit to fit a Pi4 an made a “purple gameboy” version.

Did you do anything with the pisugar or pi to make this work? I have the pisugar S plus and my shield boots up with the jack fail error message. Maybe the 3 plus and S plus use different GPIO?

huh. No, I didn’t do anything special at all. I’m too ignorant of Pi stuff to know what GPIO is.

I actually bought an S plus first since it was cheaper but it arrived without the battery - just the board. Then I also noticed that the 3 plus had a push button power switch and figured it would be easier to integrate that into a case design over S plus’ slider switch.

The 3 plus is $50 but I’ve been happy with it. It’ll even power other devices without issue:
